Today I'm thinking of my husband's cousin, Sgt 1st Class James Priestap, who was killed by a sniper in Sadr City on Thanksgiving day last year. This is his wife and children's first memorial day since his death.

May God rest him and honor ... (Below threshold)1. Posted by DJ Drummond | May 28, 2007 6:05 PM | Score: 0 (0 votes cast)
May God rest him and honor him.
May we remember him and respect his work and honor.
May those who taunt his cause come to understand his valor.

Kim...unlike too many here...you are directly connected to this loss. Having been through a period where so many felt the loss (usn 1969-72)...and having my father of a generation (WWII) where even more felt the loss..
I am anti-war simply because...no matter the cause...it does not change the real loss...
This Memorial Day ..I have evolved again...
we must all remember
"Whatever the question, love is the answer.
Whatever the problem, love is the answer.
Whatever the illness, love is the answer.
Whatever the pain, love is the answer.
Whatever the fear, love is the answer.
Love is always the answer because, Love is all there is."

May God bless and rest Sgt. Priestap. And may God comfort the entire Priestap family this Memorial Day. You honor us all, as do all vets and their families.
