In a move that must be rocking the moonbat world, Cindy Sheehan is "resigning" as the public face of the "movement." I'm guessing it's the "I'm too stupid for words but I hate Bush look at me look at meeeee" movement. Angela K. Brown reports for the Associated Press:
"I've been wondering why I'm killing myself and wondering why the Democrats caved in to George Bush," Sheehan told The Associated Press while driving from her property in Crawford to the airport, where she planned to return to her native California.
"I'm going home for awhile to try and be normal," she said.In what she described as a "resignation letter," Sheehan wrote in her online diary on the Daily Kos blog: "Good-bye America ... you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I can't make you be that country unless you want it.
"It's up to you now."

We'll miss Cindy Sheehan. We could hardly have dreamed a better caricature of an ignorant moonbat moron than she. All the leftists who have mooned over her, sent her money as she falsely claimed to be a non-profit organization, and feted her whenever she came to town will no doubt be shocked to find her iconic status and treatment have been "killing" her.
Ah, but such is the lonely life of the diva.
Ta-ta, Mother Sheehan. We will see your face in every ditch.

Now you've gone and done it. I'll never be able to look in a ditch and not see The Ditch Witch. I hope the next 'ejection' from a car crash doesn't land it a ditch. They'll just have to stay there until someone else arrives.

She served the purposes of demonization from both parties. Despised by some, loathed by many and used by all she got just what she sought, attention.
I hope she finds help where ever she's going because she sure needs it.

I thought she'd ever realize she was being used, but after receiving world-wide headlines for all the vitriol she spewed I somehow doubt she'll achieve any sense of "normalcy" in the way most of us know it. I'm with Gmac. She'll need professional help.

She is the poster child of denial. She denies the fact that her son joined, served and was proud to give his life for his country. She denies her relationship with her son was strained to say the least. She very much is presenting symptoms of someone mentally crashing and the left used her which gave validity to Sheehan's delusions. Now they abandoned her and she is mentally back at square one. The lefties are such hateful bastards. They should have left her alone to grieve and work through her depression and delusions with professional help. Is it not the case that everyone on both sides new she was looney? ww

WW,
I have to agree with you. People handle grieving in different ways, but I feel she took it too far. Hopefully she will find some peace in her life.

"you are not the country that I love"
That pretty much sums up the "patriotism" of the Left.

Many of us have known for years that the far left would bail on mama moonbat once she was no longer of use to them.
Loyalty is certainly something they believe in, as long as they are benefiting from it.
Once the corruptions of Pelosi, Reid, DiFi, etc render them useless to the far left, they'll get discarded just as mama moonbat did.

My opinion of her changed over time. I don't agree a lick with anything she said, but she stuck to her principles no matter who was attacking her.
She believed in something. She stuck to that belief.
As for those who dub her "attention whore," or worse, I have no use for someone who attacks a gold star mother, no matter how deluded she is. It doesn't give her any sort of moral authority, but, in my mind, she's given more than many who are on the "right" (read "my") side of the war issue.

Sorry, Timmer, but the minute she began waving Casey's bloody shirt to advance her own political agenda, she forfeited any right to sympathy as a grieving mother.

Now if Bush wanted to really throw a monkey wrench into the anti-American I mean peace movement, he would give it a week or two and then invite Cindy Sheehan to a private meeting with himself, the VP, and Rice at the Whitehouse. That would really get the peace movement's big egos in a tizzy and put Sheehan right back in their faces.

Timmer, I think you're a bit hasty in your assessment that Sheehan "gave more" than any on the right. Sheehan got media attention because of the tactics she employed. Those on the right haven't pulled publicity stunts like that to get attention, but it certainly doesn't mean they haven't done as much.
