Reid Will Shelve the Immigration Bill if Thursday's Cloture Vote Fails (Wizbang)

From the Politico:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) could move as early as tonight to wind down debate over the immigration bill - a move that Republicans said they will oppose, possibly stalling the bill for weeks.

Reid told reporters today that he would pull the bill from the floor if Republicans oppose the Thursday cloture vote, which requires support from 60 senators to end debate.

"If the cloture motion fails, I'm not going to proceed on it at this time," Reid said of the immigration bill. "Maybe at some point in the future."

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said his conference wants the debate to continue into next week to allow more time for amendments.

Although many people want something - anything - done about immigration, this bill would make things even worse than they are now because it would encourage even more people to cross the border illegally. It could also conceivably hurt American citizens. I agree with what Mitt Romney said earlier in tonight's debate: enforce the laws that are on the books and enforce the border.

Nobody, on either side, is filibustering ANYTHING!

Both sides want more time to offer and vote on amendments. That is NOT a filibuster!

Note to Kim: Romney is an open borders advocate (I don't care what he says or what you think he said). Mormons believe that a certain portion of the children of Israel fled to the new world and were turned red. (Not sure why, Book of Mormon unreadable) Anyway, the Lost tribes are Indians now, they say.

So mestizos and Indians are doctrinally supposed to volunteer for Mormonism by supernaturural means, realizing Mormonism is their Home. To cut off the "elect" is anathema to them. Grow the Church is the memE.
