This silly story has been all over the internet. Bloggers and commenters alike have been obsessed with the stolen watch story, but it's time to put this baby to bed. The White House said that Bush took off his watch and put it in his pocket, and now we have video proof:

The only reason this was even a story is because the Albanians (not people from alabama, for those of you libs out there...) greeted bush quite favorably and many of the libs wanted to see something, anything go wrong there. They'd rather focus on Bush's watch getting stolen than the welcoming he received.

Seems that the American Public is dropping support for Bush at ever increasing rates. And Congress is also losing support. Perhaps Congress is taking a beating because they are not serving the will of the American Public. All these useless nonbinding resolutions.... It is clear, outside of Texas and Wizbang, that the President is following his own agenda, and is not living up to the standard, For the people, by the people. Wizbangers are a minority.

Jim,
The show was Cheers. The Coach (Nicholas Colasanto) was tutoring Sam Malone. Sam Malone was busy geting it on with the teacher and wanted to prove he could pass the test without her giving him the answers.
As for the watch story- typical internet crap. The real story is the warm reception the president recieved....He is a good man and deserved the treatment.

The real story here is why is Bush risking his life by wading into a crowd of people in a predominantly Muslim country. Seems pretty stupid if you ask me.

Do you suppose the photographer will resist subpoena of his tapes? Resistance will be futile in this post Fitz media environment.
Which brings up a very important question. If Fitz is bounced and Libby's trial voided because his appointment is unconstitutional, will the press repressing precedents his work has set remain, or do they disappear along with the Libby conviction?
I should ask this question better since it is so important. Fitz jailing Miller, and threatening to jail other journalists, has weakened the ability of journalists to protect their sources. Will this effect persist if Fitz and his work are declared void? Will the decisions Fitz participated in other venues, as this special, one-off, prosecutor, also get bounced.
Take advantage here; it's not often I don't think I know everything.

I can empathize with the Albanians. I felt the same way after the '94 and 2000 elections.

Only an Albanian would want a Mickey Mouse watch that was only right twice a day.
