Here's to all the great dads out there including mine, my husband and my brothers-in-law (or is it brother-in-laws?). Happy Father's Day to the great dads here at Wizbang, too. I was fortunate to be able to spend the day with my dad yesterday and today will be helping my kids spoil their dad. Feel free to share Father's Day stories in the comments section. Since I have trouble finding a good gift for my dad every year, it would be fun to find out what some of the favorite gifts dads reading this have received.
Update: Bruce Kesler has a Father's Day message and a movie recommendation.

Here's a heartfelt message of gratitude to all fathers everywhere who love their children and teach them well and provide for them, defend them, set a great example for them and make a good family all that it can be.
My stories about my father are extensive and very much in appreciation of him. I wish he was still here, although I do feel his guiding love from beyond.
Happy Father's Day to all fathers! You are loved.

...and my brothers-in-law (or is it brother-in-laws?)
Easy....brothers. :-)
I have the same issue. Each are my brother and they're 3 of them--therefore, they are my brothers. :-)

I would like to pay tribute to my father, who passed away last December.
Brought up in the Depression, college educated at great sacrifice to his parents, served in the US Army and attained the rank of Captain during WWII(awarded the Legion of Merit), came home and raised a family and became not only a respected business leader but a great Dad. A man of integrity and character. Many of his friends pre deceased him, but his funeral was standing room only.
Our country will miss men like him, as does our family.
That was my Dad.

Thank you Lorie. I received my greatest Father's Day gift ever yesterday. I had picked up a Thomas the Tank Engine book at a garage sale for Nick, my 10 year old son who has autism and is nonverbal. He loves everything Thomas, but hasn't loked at Thomas books in a while. Well, he he took the book from me, looked at it, then went to his room, sat on the floor and read it for a long time. No gift of monetary value could ever surpass the joy I had watching him enjoy his new treasure.
