This just proves the depth of the dissatisfaction with the theocracy over there. If we'd devote more effort to promoting the dissidents and less to threatening all the people over there, we'd be very likely to have a new government in place in very short order.

Good point. AT least we should not provide the excuse or the propaganda aid to the mullahs ans the mad pres Adm as the radical progressives have done so far. Maybe, we should start exposing their evil rule over the Iranian people. Maybe the protest-loving antiwar folks can start organizing some protests against the mullahs for a change. The mullahs are waging war on the Iranian people and exporting terror abroad.

These events in Iran point up just how vulnerable the regime is to outside pressure. They are an importer of gasoline for God's sake. A simple blockade in the Gulf and the economy collapses.
And as pointed out, a well-aimed TLAM could destroy the one refinery they do have.
These sorts of approaches make far more sense than a multi-week bombing campaign that would try to destroy the dozens of sites where their nuclear technology is located. Of course, none of this is really needed right now since they are still a ways off from getting a bomb.
It's not clear at all that they would abandon their nuclear program even if there were a regime change from within so I'm not sure what we gain by supporting the internal dissidents other than allowing the clerics to paint them as the lackeys of the Jews and infidels. Probably best to keep our mouths shut about that and keep trying to tighten the screws on the sanctions.

That was the whine leeward used that got him his subsidized blog.
Interestingly, he complains about a blog that has traffic and heavy commenting, while at his sandbox that he contributes to the majority of comments come from the contributors.

What are you babbling about, John in CA? Jay Tea and Paul have been writing posts left and right challenging Wizbang Blue on a number of issues, and attacking us personally here and on our own site in the comment section. They want us here, I guess they love the controversy or something...
Anyway, we're only too happy to oblige our sister site in their moment of need. Seeing Wizbang bloggers wake up to facts we knew and predicted a week in advance in just icing on the cake -- no, I take that back, watching Paul and Jay spit and sputter is the icing...no, sorry -- the icing is actually watching commenters like you ask silly questions like this.
Hmmm, maybe the icing is seeing Wizbang ignore HUGE stories Lugar speeches and instead issuing blog posts defending Ann Coulter. I guess we are making a valuable contribution to the blogosphere -- aren't we. We're giving the down-on-their-luck right wing blogosphere something to write about.
After all, I'm sure the only reason Paul wrote today's blog post defending Ann Coulter at 2pm today is that we posted a story at praising Elizabeth Edwards at 11am today -- just as Jay's 6:30am "underpants" post is a rip on our 12 noon post from yesterday --- and Paul's 11:30am Cheney post yesterday rips our 10am post of the same day.
THEY read us, and YOU read us John -- you're a regular commenter at Wizbang Blue. Heck, we're very popular around here.
Any other questions, John?

I do visit your sandbox, primarily to click on the one star. That doesn't take very long. The other purpose is to keep a rough count on the number of comments between wizblue contributors in their effort to fluff up the comments numbers. Plus, it's kind of humorous to see how you all praise and reinforce each others comments. Nothing like watching a bunch of socialists pat themselves on the back for being socialists.
I have, in the past, posted some comments at wizblues. You'll probably find that was a couple of weeks ago. It was a momentary lapse or reason. I soon realized it did nothing but inflate your sense of worth by increasing your perceived impact.
Interestingly, you ask, "Any other questions, John?" when the only question I've asked you failed to answer.
So, once again, leeward, when are you going to identify the racists among those who are opposed to illegal immigrant amnesty?

I remember the "gas shortage' here in the 1970s, with the cars parked overnight at the station to be the first in line. Pintos and VeeDubs to Porches and Beemers, were reduced to hunks of junk without fuel. People maybe broke into a fight or two to get their fair share for the day. Still, it was nowhere near the way it is in Iran with the looting and explosions. Again, I am reminded there ain't no place like the good ol' U.S. of A.

"Edwards: You wrote a column a couple years ago which made fun of the moment of Charlie Dean's death, and suggested that my husband had a bumper sticker on the back of his car that said ask me about my dead son. This is not legitimate political dialogue.
Coulter: That's now three years ago --
Edwards: It debases political dialogue. It drives people away from the process. We can't have a debate about issues if you're using this kind of language."
Now...as you are aware...a few years ago Ann C.. made comments suggesting a bumper sticker exploiting the accidental death of his son...
What Elizabeth Edward did was call Coulter out on this...
it is probable that because Coulter does not have children...has never married...does not even date....she may not understand how personal is is when anyone suffers the premature death of a son or daughter...
But I am assuming that some of you are married..or dating...maybe even have kids...
if so....I would hope you would agree that Coulter's remarks concerning the death of the Edwards child is like us believing we can call for more sacrifice in Iraq...when we nor our children are involved...
...and we are above that right?

That's odd. A couple of weeks ago you intimated that the racists were killing the bill, implying that they were already exposed, that they were already doing it for racist reasons.
Now you seem to be backing off from that position. The fact of the matter is, it's not racist reasons that are going to kill this bill, thus you have no one to provide as an example.
I'll say here again what I said at wizblues a coule of weeks ago - you are a race card playing baiting pimp. No different, no better, than Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and all the other race card playing baiting pimps that run around LA.
