For an accurate account of ... (Below threshold)

For an accurate account of how depraved, hateful and disgusting the left has become, one should click on the link to the Confederate Yankee column above. Just knowing that these people try so hard to portray our soldiers, airmen, marines, sailors and guardsmen in such a putrid light, should make any human being who loves freedom sick to their stomach. I beg forgiveness from my Lord, because the hate in me is boiling over for these people.

Realize that this is what happens with these lies: In a dark and blood spattered room, islamo-sadists torture with glee, the very beings who provide TNR with the security to spew their filth, while reading to them the contents of beauchamps manifesto of hate, and dink turbins lie filled speech on the floor of the senate, and harry reid saying the war is lost, and woman killer ted kennedy saying that Abu Graib has opened under new management- US management, and Sen. kerry calling them terrorists, and on and on and on, just as our P.O.W.s had to endure hearing recordings of j. f'n kerry slandering them while being beaten by some commie sadist.

The blood of American fighters is on their hands. I know you can say that's part of your job when you put the uniform on, I mean, you can say that if you're an appologizing a-hole, but what about all of the innocents ? I know now that they don't care. Moral equivocation is not accurate when the commies compare ours to the blood thirsty scum ours fight, it is only appropriate when one compares the maos, UBLs, hussiens, castros, hitlers etc. to the walter winchells, tnrs, NY crimes, cnn, dnc etc. who knowingly and proudly assist them every day in there endeavors to slaughter and or enslave us all. They are the epitome of masochistic lust, and I hate them.

I hate to do this, but I kinda' have to take JFO's side - albeit, briefly. Knee-jerking claims of "treason" might be a bit much, in the case of TNR's actions.

Granted, I do enjoy watching TNR's credibility roll off the table and into the gutter for this kinda' crap; but, honestly, I'm not sure if it constitutes treason.

It's lecherous. Immoral. Unethical. Not to mention a complete slap in the face to America, Americans, and the troops putting their goodies on the line to protect our freedoms/way of life. I'm just not sure it's treason.

Adam Gadan. That's treason.

It's a strong word and, collectively, we all may be better served using it a bit more selectively.

(off my soapbox, now)

Having said that, if I hear the term "rethuglican" again, I may vomit. That's just immature.

I don't hear "democreep" or such 3rd grade-level word play coming from the right (though, I do like "demodouche" - which I just made up, and fully admit that it's childish).

Son Of The Godfather:

Pudge,

That was very well stated. I agree with everything you wrote, and have the same feelings towards these treasonous dirtbags (yes, jfo, you and your kind are "traitors", whether you like that word or not).

Is everyone allowed to have their own opinion on the war, our military, our nation?... Abso-f'ing-lutely.

And when someone acts on those opinions in a way that may result in physical harm to those protecting that very freedom? Purely and simply, and as harsh as this sounds... I wish for them to die.

A leftard's opinion of whatever it may be does not trump the lives of American soldiers (or Americans). Hatred of a President, or administration, or policy does NOT give one the right to act in such a way that it jeopardizes those brave men and women who already put their lives on the line.

Burn a flag... Run through Berkeley with no clothes on... inflate your scrotum and get a Che tattoo... fine. Put soldiers at a higher risk than they already are? Don't expect to be shown any mercy when we actually start enforcing laws of treason. It's WAY overdue.

I stood back and waited to see what would happen on this whole issue. Well, yes, the original publishers are traitors. They fit the definition. Those that supported them are traitors as well.

As for chickenhawk, you better watch who you label that way son. I am a Disabled American Veteren of the United States Navy. That means that not only did I serve, but that I gave a part of myself in that service. Chickenhawk only applies to those that haven't been there, and that is usually a liberal.

As for wether or not we "Rethuglicans" can care, I leave you with a little example. 2 weeks ago, I was sitting with a young man that was returning to Scouting after almost a year in his sickbed. We were going over his current status in the program and his short and long term plans. Then we talked for a few minutes aobut his returning to school. Why did he open up to me? He knows I spent a year recovering from cancer. I know where he has been and I can predict his feelings and tell him it is alright, and that it is normal. That young man is going to end up as an Eagle Scout within 3-6 months is my guess, and someday he will be a productive member of society. Oh, his Eagle Service project? Building bathouses in a nearby federal park, to help control the mosquito population. Last night I helped him arrange to get the poles donated and even planted by a utility company. Would that some of you liberals were worth as much as this young man already is.

So providing an endless supply of "bulletin board material" that we KNOW is broadcast on al jazeera and published in many pro-jehaad rags abroad AND here at home, which clearly results in a huge moral boost to our enemy,ie; they fight and kill and torture with much more vim and vigor than they otherwise would w/o it, is covered by the first ? I'll tell you what, lose someone you love as a direct result of these LYING practitioners of "free speech" successful attempts to help us lose this or any other war, and then see how you feel. You have to understand the AFFECT their words have. It is not just a fucking little academic exercise in whatifism, it is the blood, and flesh, and crushed bones, and drilled eyes, and sliced privates, and strapped down and being "operated" on by "Dr. al mousawri" or whatever the fuck! Do you understand ?

These "American" people attempt to destroy the war effort for their own agrandizement and nothing more. There is NO pursuit of the truth here, it is destruction that they seek. How would these free speechers have faired in oh say, 1943 ? We've lost our common sense, I'm afraid, when otherwise intelligent folks defend our destroyers.

I guess I'm used to equating "treason" and "traitor" to the likes of Benedict Arnold and such. Granted, I couldn't hold Beauchamp or TNR on any lower of a level, I was just thinking aloud if what's up with this issue could be categorized, similarly.

Even yet, I'm not sure. Are these guys intentionally being traitorous, or are they just too stupid/greedy to understand that their free speech may actually cost something down the road?

Is there such a thing as treason in degrees?

Again, just thinking aloud and listening to myself type.

BarneyG2000:

Oyster, thank you for confirming that my questions regarding the story was in the "could it happen" tact and not the "it did happen". As far as your question now I read the comments regarding the BFV and it comes down to this:

A) It would be very difficult to suddenly swerve the vehicle to the right AND hit a dog. The emphasis on the hitting the dog part (due to poor visibility) and not if a BFV can swerve or jerk to the right.

B) Trapping a dog in the tract would most likely crush and not cut a dog in half.

The rest of the comments were more in the sense of how in appropriate those action would be, but we all agreed on that point anyways.

Try this: If I really believe that when I'm tanked (and believe me, these people exist and I've met some of them), my driving is superior to when sober, and I then take out a school bus full of third graders in a ball of fiery death, am I just "too stupid" ? Now remember, this question is being asked within the context of the fact that I have already taken out numerous other school buses on previous occasions, do I still rate the just "too stupid" monicker ?

And yes, it IS analogous as the left has been doing this for years with the same results over and over again. They may believe that sabotaging this war effort is a good thing, but to what "good" end ? I submit to you that the end they seek is Americas destruction as a free representative republic, ie; they truly want some sort of totalitarianism to exist "for the good of the whole". Last time I checked, those kinds of subversive efforts weren't covered in the Bill of Rights.

BarneyG2000:

Oyster, I have said it before over and over again, I do not know if he is telling the truth or not. Here is what the TNR said on the subject:

"On this topic, one soldier who witnessed the incident described by Beauchamp, wrote in an e-mail: "How you do this (I've seen it done more than once) is, when you approach the dog in question, suddenly lurch the Bradley on the opposite side of the road the dog is on. The rear-end of the vehicle will then swing TOWARD the animal, scaring it into running out into the road. If it works, the dog is running into the center of the road as the driver swings his yoke back around the other way, and the dog becomes a chalk outline." TNR contacted the manufacturer of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System, where a spokesman confirmed that the vehicle is as maneuverable as Beauchamp described. Instructors who train soldiers to drive Bradleys told us the same thing. And a veteran war correspondent described the tendency of stray Iraqi dogs to flock toward noisy military convoys."

I did not read anything in the Bob Owens link that states that the above did not happen.

On a side note: did you notice that the TNR just published another accusation from a soldier claiming to know first hand that soldiers drive over dogs on purpose? How shocking!

I'm constantly reminding them to say what you do and mean what you say (something that, ironically, the millitary instills right away) One wonders how they can wind up at a once venerable print magazine such as TNR, which used to be fairly good source of liberal opinion. Pretzel...Rant Warning:

Not to get off topic here, but I agree with your point.
We are close in age. When I got out of school there was no bull market in stocks (that was four years later), unemployment was a serious concern, just getting a job with a degree was not automatic, the President spoke of a national malaise, gas lines (real gas lines...hours long), a President who had just resigned in disgrace, and then the Iran hostage crises and humiliation (complete with our special forces rescue team dying in the desert in a tragic event)....this list could go on forever. Who would think today that winning an Olympic hockey game against the Russians was cause for national celebration?

I think the defining factor is wealth. There is so much of it today and there was little of it in the middle class in the seventies when interest rates were 19% for loans made at the prime rate, inflation at 13%.....

But we were fortunate, we didn't endure the Great Depression, never went hungry and our nation was never actually attacked by a serious threat.

Don't forget the Minn. bridge collapse is also "Bush's fault."

While I certainly hope it wouldn't happen, I'd be far from surprised the next bridge that falls would be the decrepit Burnside Bridge in Portland.

HughS snark noted - with glee.

Hmmph! Some bridge in Arizona collapsed today. Fortunately it was still under construction, so no one was injured.

Loop 202 Bridge Collapses

The interesting part was it happened at 8:30 AM, yet there were no workers on the scene.

Is it too early to blame Bush, for this? Is it possible to pro-actively blame him for the catastrophic failures of things which are still being built?

I agree that immediately labeling anyone or any news story as "traitor" or "traitorous" is a bit over the top and jumping the gun. It is, however, interesting how quickly this story hit the propaganda wheel and took off. Without any emergency brake, speculation and discord conquered opinion before the original spin was reduced to "fiction". These are the times when I wonder if the media is only concerned about selling a story at the expense of the reader's peace of mind and/or the writer's reputation.

John, excellent!! More bad news for the lying lefties!!!

And how about the latest:

NASA has now silently released corrected figures, and the changes are truly astounding. The warmest year on record is now 1934. 1998 (long trumpeted by the media as record-breaking) moves to second place. 1921 takes third. In fact, 5 of the 10 warmest years on record now all occur before World War II.

OOOPS!!!! That's gotta hurt!

A bit off-topic here, but I couldn't let this line go to waste simply cuz it's just ripe with silky joke fodder (from CNN re: the Democratic debate in front of the gay and lesbian community, tonight - someone over there has a very dry sense of humor):

"Former Sen. John Edwards straddles the middle of the road, saying this election season that he's not ready to embrace gay marriage, but his wife and daughter support it."

The Edwards campaign is forever grateful that "middle of the road" is, among other things, gender neutral.

Though, I am getting a bit tired of hearing about the man's damned wife.

I just love the use of the words "straddles" and "embrace" ... such a touchy-feely tone CNN is putting into their coverage of the "gay debates"

Umm, news flash barney, the TNR bullshit you are using as more evidence to back the lying sack of shit beauchamp has already been discredited, but I'm sure you knew that already, just wouldn't want to contradict yourself, asshole.

http://confederateyankee.mu.nu/archives/236527.php

"I did talk to a young researcher with TNR who only asked general questions about "whether a Bradley could drive through a wall" and "if it was possible for a dog to get caught in the tracks" and general questions about vehicle specifications."
-Doug Coffey, Head of Communications, Land & Armaments, BAE Systems

"In other words, BAE System's Head of Communications over the division that manufactures the Bradley IFV was never specifically asked to comment on the claims made in "Shock Troops" by TNR's legion of fact-checkers.

When he (Coffey) saw the claims made in "Shock Troops," he stated, by citing the physical properties of his company's vehicle, that it is highly unlikely, if not impossible, for the Bradley story told in "Shock Troops" to have been correct."
