Lately, there have been some undercurrents of nervousness with Democrats that Obama in his new emphasis that he is mainstream American and not a wide-eyed radical, may be abandoning some of his liberal positions. I shared some of those concerns...

Government's role regulating free speech needs to be as limited as possible. The freedom allowed under the 1st Amendment isn't always attractive, yet to limit free expression is always the worst possible option.

You know, part of me thinks that he knew he would get this reaction and did it for the publicity. Because while I was an avid Bloom County reader growing up, I'm not sure I even knew that he came out of retirement.

Look at the Breathed site. (Google Opus). Last week's comic took a swipe at fundamentalist Christians, specifically Jerry Falwell. As a Christian, I understood the humor and laughed. Too bad believers in that other so called "Great Religion" are unable to laugh at themselves as well.

The whacked-out members of our religion only bomb abortion clinics. We don't bomb newspaper offices or cut off peoples' heads, in general. It's totally safe to diss Christians. Liberals are chickenshits at heart anyway.

Liberals are hyper-sensitive to certain things. They think Bush is fighting all muslims, so they stick up for all Muslims in an effort to oppose Bush. It's all part of political correctness working in conjunction with Bush Derangement Syndrome.

Didn't they go the way of the dinosaurs?
I'm not surprised. Print media is so leftist these days, I don't bother to read them unless they are free in an airport lounge or hotel. Even then I take what is printed with a grain of salt. So much is BS, not to mention THEY decide what is news in their opinion anyway. Print News = Zero Credibility.
