He wants these three investigated to help the Democrats in 08. I don't think there's a more sinister example of abuse of governmental power. From the American Spectator:
Others on the Democrat side are pushing ahead with other plans. Rep. Henry Waxman has asked his investigative staff to begin compiling reports on Limbaugh, and fellow radio hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin based on transcripts from their shows, and to call in Federal Communications Commission chairman Kevin Martin to discuss the so-called "Fairness Doctrine.""Limbaugh isn't the only one who needs to be made uncomfortable about what he says on the radio," says a House leadership source. "We don't have as big a megaphone as these guys, but this all political, and we'll do what we can to gain the advantage. If we can take them off their game for a while, it will help our folks out there on the campaign trail."
The America we thought we knew no longer exists. Liberalism's Big Brother is bound and determined to squash all dissenting opinion.
Allahpundit, however, is a little incredulous:
Totally implausible? Nope. But just a tad more menacing than you'd expect a Democrat to be when talking, even anonymously, to a conservative publication like the Spectator. Believe what you like. Either way, it's hardly a stretch to think that the Fairness Doctrine will be back on the radar if the expected Democratic landslide materializes next year. And if it does, Nostrils will no doubt play a part in moving it along.

Am I reading this correctly? Democrats, out loud and in front of witnesses, are saying that they are attempting to intentionally suppress free speech and want to make those that say political things they don't agree with "uncomfortable" for the singular purpose of getting more Democrats elected?
Has it really come to this? And people jump down my throat when I say the country's going to heck in a handbasket...
Place yourself in the editors chair at a newspaper and imagine that someone just texted you a quote from Cheney saying that it was about time the President used his authority to start to make war protesters "uncomfortable" for speaking out for the express purpose of raising the polls of Republicans and getting more Republicans elected in 2008. What would you put in the paper, front page center, each and every day until they renounced such a plot? Then come back to the real world and remember that the press will not mention democratic officials saying nearly this very thing.

Hoosen, since your comment re: Limbaugh is in the present tense, please answer the following questions:
1) What is Rush Limbaugh's height and weight, and what standards are you using to categorize Rush as "overweight"?
2) What drugs are currently being consumed by Limbaugh, how do you know this, have they been legally prescribed, and regardless of whether they have been legally prescribed or not, what quantities would need to be consumed to be considered a current "drug addict"?
Otherwise, STFU.
BTW, have you sufficiently recovered from the much deserved shellacking you received from your (no doubt, drug-addled) rantings about Oregon being wide open to attack since its 3 fighter planes were sent to Iraq several years back?
