"They're trying to fool you. They're trying to scare you and they're not telling the truth," a fired-up Obama declared while campaigning in South Dakota. "But it's not going to work. Both Bush and McCain represent the failed foreign policy and fear mongering of the past," Obama said. "I believe the American people are ready to reject this approach and to choose the future."

I don't you can read. He never said he was quitting. He is not a quitter.
What if Juan McCain's fat head explodes before the convention? (We can only hope)
LOL
He's in it for the long haul. He has the most money of anyone.

He did it for the money.
You can't pander to white supremacists, ufo nuts, anti-Iraq groups, 9/11 truthers, and expect to get the Republican nomination. You just can't. It's not because the fix is in, but because most of the base will reject you for those associations. Its that simple.
Every oddball group he pandered to and some less oddball misinformed idealists were exploited for money.

OT: Free Frank Warner points out:
"It's interesting, too, that The New York Times quickly jumped on the CIA bandwagon...declaring Iran had abandoned it nuclear arms program back in 2003. And yet, there was Risen, a Times reporter, describing how Iran was working on an atom bomb in 2004."

Ron Paulites managed to tick off a whole lot of folks - I'm not sorry to see him go. You can sometimes judge a candidate by who supports him - and Ron's support was odd at best.

9 Trillion national debt.$60,000 for each worker in America. I'll never pay it back and neither will my old lady. One of you idiots out there owes another $120,000 on top of the $60 grand you already owe. You geniuses are so clever to see through Ron Pauls crap and expose him for the lunatic that he is.

steven montross -
Meet the new boss - same as the old boss.
Reform? Look at how fast the Dems shut down any meaningful debate on Social Security. And tax reform.
And you figure Ron Paul would have had the support to go up against that?
Uh, yeah.
Guess what - it's garbage like you just vomited that turns people OFF from Paul. But then again, maybe that's what you wanted?

Values debate: didn't pander.
Black-American debate: didn't pander.
CPAC: didn't have to pander.
Please, enough with the guilt by association crap.
