Lately, there have been some undercurrents of nervousness with Democrats that Obama in his new emphasis that he is mainstream American, and not a wide-eyed radical, may be abandoning some of his liberal positions. I shared some of those concerns...

Government's role regulating free speech needs to be as limited as possible. The freedom allowed under the 1st Amendment isn't always attractive, yet to limit free expression is always the worst possible option.

Terrorists know no decent bounds. The use of two mentally handicapped women at the recent pet market bombings in Iraq set a new low. And mentally handicaped persons have been used before, who don't even know what's going on while bombs are being placed on them. And the recently discovered of an Al Qaeda video to recruit children because the adult male fighters have been so depleted was ghastly as well. Simply pathetic and morally bankrupt.

Pathetic and morally bankrupt? That assumes there was an original level of morality that we might recognize. These folks do not live in a system of morals that we recognize. Its pointless to whine and tsk tsk about their lack of morals. They will do whatever it takes to provoke and destroy what we do recognize as moral and civilized precisely BECAUSE they perceive us as the amoral and uncivilized heathens worthy only of subjugation or extermination.
Until we recognize this and act accordingly (negotiations and education are pointless and feed into their strategy) we are assisting them in their jihad.
