The Knuckleheads of the Day award

Today's winners are Robert D'Amico and Jimmy Burchfield. They get the award for the following.

WARWICK, R.I. (AP) -- The mother of a teen killed by a drunken driver says two lawyers came to her son's wake and tried to sell their services while standing next to his casket.

Kathleen Gemma filed a complaint with the Supreme Court's attorney disciplinary board, saying the two should have left her alone while she was saying her last goodbyes to her son Anthony Gemma. Gemma said one of the lawyers talked about his billboard.

Robert D'Amico and Jimmy Burchfield say they were not soliciting business. They say they were there to support the boy's father and that Gemma brought up the idea of pursuing legal action, something she denies.

Is it standard procedure for lawyers to go to funerals of people they don't know? As Peter Morin at Overlawyered wrote-

Not difficult to figure out which story is true here, is it?
So these attorneys first come to a funeral uninvited. Then they call a grieving mother a liar. You know what I will call Robert D'Amico and Jimmy Burchfield, they are today's Knuckleheads of the Day.
