An attack -- or even an attempted attack -- by Islamic extremists on Saudi Arabia's oil sector would have disastrous consequences on the world market and the price per barrel, analysts warn. Of more than 700 people arrested in the course of the last six months in Saudi Arabia, dozens had been part of cells charged with preparing attacks against oil sites, according to authorities in Riyadh.

She's joking, right? Because, quite frankly, to disdain the military isn't "to know the military". She has no idea that she is highlighting Republicans well-established superiority on that issue. But to appeal to people's neurotic fearfulness about their children? Definitely Democrat SOP.

It is particularly baffling to see this kind of ad in a Democratic primary where the majority of voters are still angry about Hillary's vote for the Iraq War resolution. In their eyes, Hillary was tested with a call at 3AM and she failed the test, while Obama was speaking out against the war.
The only possible explanation here is that Hillary is trying to inflict damage on Obama so McCain wins the general and she can start targeting the 2012 general election.

It's actually a good ad. Hillary knows she has to beat Obama now even if that means making a point for McCain in the general election. Hillary's in a tough spot. She can't challenge Obama on issues because what Obama believes is what most Democrat voters believe. She can't play the gender card too much without risking it backfiring. All she has is her experience as first lady and that's not getting any traction.
By next week I think Obama will take a commanding lead and then he'll role over McCain in the general election like a M1 tank over a Nissan pickup. It's all unfolding according to my plan to destroy the democrat party.

Brian,
The difference is that Obama doesn't know he's the fall guy. I couldn't believe my luck when this empty suite showed up promising change to mindless lefty voters. They're going to get change all right and when it comes then they'll realize they should have asked what change Obama was talking about.

McCain isn't exactly much better as far as security goes. People think he is, but what would he do if he answered that phone? He'd probably tell the CIA/Military/whatever, that we can't detain people on foreign soil, so we need to give them some money, a good dinner and buy them a new house for the inconvenience of actually capturing terrorists.
At the very least, buy the poor guy a coffee
