Well, I just had a little evil fun.
The other day, I wrote about Walton and Johnson, the talk-show assholes who have ripped off Pilgrim's piece from Say Anything. This morning, I listen--ed to them online. And when they invited people to call in and rant about anything they liked (1-866-456-8395).
I couldn't resist. I really couldn't.
"I just wanted to talk about Hillary Clinton. After that whole mess with the Tuzla sniper story, I just want to say that that woman will Say Anything to get elected. And let me tell you, Pilgrim, if she gets elected, she will Rob us blind. And speaking of Robbing people blind, when are you guys gonna stop ripping off the Say Anything Blog and give credit to Pilgrim for his piece on Islam and the mob?"
I was cut off near the end, but I did irritate them a bit.
These thieving assholes, when confronted, chose to double down and flip the bird to those they ripped off -- and those of us who called them on it.
I think I'll keep them on my speed-dial for a little while... what was that number again?
Oh, yeah, 1-866-456-8395. And you can listen to them streaming (I'm not certain why -- from what I've heard, they suck, and they suck hard) here.
Update: Blogger extraordinaire, Houston radio cog, and all-around psychotic Laurence Simon is on the case now, too... gee, I wonder who tipped him off?

Thanks for the great support on this, Jay Tea.
A while back another guy was using my articles on his site and calling them hius own. Same M.O. - slightly modifying them and posting them.
We called him out by name on Say Anything just like Rob did with Walton and Johnson.
The guy wrote us back in the comments - with a lengthy and genuine apology. He admitted he was wrong and regretted what he had done.
He manned - up. Apparently W&J aren't of the same caliber.
By the way, I thanked the first guy for his apology. It was classy. And several of the commenters - including Rob and myself - invited him to hang around Say Anything and join in the fun of the debates there.
I'm trying to fingd that article now - Rob'r looking for it, too - and I'll be posting a column comparing the classy and the classless later.
Thanks again for your support and for the support of your readers in your previous post.

As satisfying Juvenile Scorn (trademark of Meryl Yourish) can be, I'd prefer to just send a note to someone at Clear Channel Houston that I know appreciates the value of blogging and recognizes the potential in forming a positive relationship with bloggers instead of an adversarial one.
I have faith that Michael Berry will take a look at the situation, ponder it, and give a well-reasoned and fair response. (Even if he's not a fan of cats)

Another plagiarist can be found right here in North Dakota. Our own US Secretary of Agriculture and former State Governor of North Dakota has been found twice ripping off information of off websites and not giving credit to the original authors. If you would like to read the full post you can find it here.

Bravo! I'm quite tempted to pay up for their crappy little subscription plan just for a month in order to get the sound clip.

I sent a message to Mr. Berry this morning. Reminded him of 17 USC 501.
Waiting for signs of intelligence. Gotta say, though, KPRC is not what it used to be. They dropped Rush from the line-up 2 years ago, so that should be a warning sign.

Well, it all seems to have worked - they took it down.
No apology, no acknowledgement... they just replaced the article with a bunch of "mini films." Morons. No, make that classless morons. Honestly, all these years, I thought this was just an amusing act for the radio show. Go figure.
