Friday Morning Cup o' Coffee Round Up

Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do. --Benjamin Franklin

  • Jimmy Carter to meet Hamas leader The former U.S. president who justifies Palestinian violence as a reaction to Israeli apartheid will meet with the head of the world's leading Middle Eastern terrorist organization in Syria this month.

In an unprecedented event that U.S. officials say displays poor judgment, Jimmy Carter will visit with Hamas Leader Khaled Meshal, who runs his violent operation from Damascus to avoid being arrested by the Israeli government. Known by the Arabic acronym for "Islamic Resistance Movement," Hamas is committed to eliminating Israel and replacing it with an Islamic state. It has repeatedly attacked Israel with suicide bombers and armed resistance to Israeli military occupation. (Via Judicial Watch)

  • Class trip to mosque teaches 10 year olds that they are dogs Amsterdam. With a view to developing understanding and respect for other cultures among children, primary school De Horizon regularly organises outings to various religious organisations. The chairman of the El Mouchidine mosque told the children from group 7 (aged 10) and their chaperones however that non-Muslims are dogs. (Via Hot Air)

  • Minnesota State Funded MadrassaEd Morissey: Minnesota doesn't have school vouchers, but we have a fairly strong charter-school presence. In fact, the Little Admiral attends a foreign-language immersion charter school which does a remarkable job with its students. Charter schools are public schools, however, and cannot offer religious-based curricula. As Katherine Kersten discovers, that applies to every religion but one, apparently. So much for separation of church and state. (Via Hot Air)

  • Iran installing another 6k centrifuges Centrifuges are machines that can enrich uranium to a low level to produce nuclear fuel or a high level for use in a weapon. Iran insists its nuclear program is peaceful and solely focused on the production of energy. (Via AP News)

  • Pelosi's War Congress: The cowardly start more wars than the courageous. Nancy Pelosi's craven altering of House rules to kill off Colombia's trade pact brings that danger to the Andes. If war breaks out, her name will be on it. (Via IBD Editorials)

  • Clintonomics Debunked If doesn't matter whether Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee. At some point during the fall presidential debates, one of them will turn to John McCain and say something like this: "Senator McCain, we raised taxes in the 1990s and had one of the greatest economic booms in American history. Why not go back to those rates by repealing the Bush tax cuts?" (Via US News

  • Liberal talk radio's very bad week Steve Gill: Air America's rock-bottom ratings offer a valuable lesson: attempting to fill the left's void of ideas with F-words and ad hominem attacks will not fool the listeners for long. (Via Pajamas Media)

  • Rockefeller gets nasty and stupid apparently. Wonder if anyone told him we didn't have laser-guided missiles at that time? (Via Lucianne) More details here (Red State ) And then he Apologizes. (Via Fox News)

  • How 'bout *those* goodies? Whatcha wanna bet some parents are mighty unhappy about this one. (Via Mad Hollywood)

Clintonomics Debunked, If they are stupid enough to ask the answer is, The rich got richer and the poor worked 12 hours a day and had nothing or little to show for it. I lived through a lot of presidents and had less under Dimmy Carter and Slick than any other president in my 67 years. Any working person that will tell the truth has to say the same.

    What about this school??

First Hebrew charter school in U.S.
HOLLYWOOD, Florida: The towering piles of books and summertime stream of construction workers give no hint, but this school is like no other.

It takes its name from a Jewish high priest. Its director is a rabbi. The food is kosher. Hebrew will be uttered throughout.

Oh, and it's a public school.
