There is no question that Barack Obama is a stronger leader now than he was six months ago. I made that point a few days ago here: Politics is dirty business, and much of the teeth gnashing over in-fighting...

I don't believe that it's solely up to Obama. No question he needs to reach out and welcome former Clinton supporters into the camp - but the job isn't his alone. Hillary Clinton should and, I'm confident will -- reach out as well and help pull together Democrats, helping to unite the party. But it will take more than Hillary and Barack's efforts. It will take all of us Democrats reaching out to heal the divide that'll really drive this process.

The Republican National Comittee (RNC) is leveling their sights on Obama. This is a web-only video - at 1 minute 23 seconds its clearly not intended for broadcast television.

Perhaps McCain should just quote Ronald Reagan to Murtha.

I often pondered what would make someone vote for Murtha or others like him, but then I realized that it's as hopeless as Barrack Obama trying to understand people who reject Marxism or people who are proud of America.

Actually, I think septuagenarians could give an insight or opionion if McCain might be too old,(he'll be 72 in July) but Murtha would be bias of course, and for Hillary at that. Personally I think McCain is on the cusp, and I prefer Obama's age (he'll be 47 in August), even if he wasn't a war hero..Remarkably since the civil war, it seems the majority of Republican Presidents have been war heroes or generals or both.

Or as Yogi Berra might translate Murtha:
You're too old because when I was your age I was old enough to know I was too old, so why don't you know you're too old? Because you're too old, that's why. And that's true because I'm older than you.

Murtha must be senile.
What the hell is he going on about? Doesn't anyone realize Murtha is 75? Three years older than McCain?
Why isn't Murtha stepping down due to old age?
