A Miami lawyer is suing OPEC over the skyrocketing price of oil.A google search for the name Larry Klayman turned up quite a few interesting lawsuits he has filed in the past. Including ones against CAIR, Dick Cheney, Fidel Castro, and Osama Bin Laden. David Nieporent at Overlawyered calls Klayman a professional gadfly. Who's Larry Klayman going to sue next, his mother?Attorney Larry Klayman claims in the lawsuit filed Monday that the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries is violating U.S. antitrust laws by fixing oil prices. Klayman wants a Miami federal judge to stop that from happening.
Klayman says oil prices are artificially high because of OPEC, a 13-member organization based in Austria. The lawsuit claims OPEC is operating a conspiracy aimed at causing economic harm in the U.S. and other western nations.
Oops, he has already done that.

Its moronic. The idea that an association of soverign nations is subject to US anti-trust law is just laughable. Just as laughable as Rep. Maxine Waters' suggestion of nationalization.

So OPEC says the price per barrel to the U.S. is $0 and the amount shipped is 0 barrels. Then what?
I'll say what my momma said when I was small about stupid people, 'They don't have the brains to pour piss out of a boot before putting in on'. That describes todays democrats. She also always told us (10 children) that we would go to hell for lying same as stealing. That rule has stuck with me for 68 years. Too bad democrats didn't have someone to rear them correctly. By the way, 10 children, 0 ever in jail, 0 welfare riders.
For graduation we got a pick and shovel and a set of suitcases. Go to work or get out of town. Well I stretched that a little, but it was understood you no longer lived at home.

If he's going to sue anyone over higher energy prices, it ought to be the Dems and their enviro friends. They've managed to curtail production and refining for way too long. The fact that our political "leaders" were far too dumb to foresee this happening is more to blame than OPEC.

Surely when he wins the peanlty against OPEC will be they will be denied access to the US market.
