I guess the Obamamessiah decided that Old Glory just wasn't good enough for his private campaign jet. He took that old and busted thing down and put up something really awesome: his own Obama symbol!
As part of a month-long aircraft makeover, a painted American flag was removed from the tail of Sen. Barack Obama's official campaign airplane and was replaced with the presidential candidate's trademark "O" symbol. The refurbished 757 was unveiled to members of the news media today, 41 of whom boarded the craft and took off to meet Obama in Amman, Jordan, where the presidential candidate will stop as part of a Middle Eastern and European tour.
Obama traveled to the Mideast earlier this week on board a separate airplane.
Fox News blogger Bonny Kapp, traveling on Obama's new airplane, reported:
"The North American jet that flew Obama and his traveling crew around for much of the primary season was refurbished with new seats and power for each passenger a must on the campaign trail. And the plane that once had an American flag on its tail now sports the Obama 'O.'"
Obama's 'O' symbol is red, white and blue.
Most official U.S. government aircraft, including Air Force One, have U.S. flags on their tails.
Both Fox News and the Chicago Sun-Times posted pictures of the Obama campaign's redressed airplane, which does not have an American flag or any other U.S. national symbols on the section that sports the airplane door from which Obama and his team will enter and exit.
The airplane boasts Obama's anthem, "Change We Can Believe In" and the candidate's website address.
Here are some pictures of the new wonder plane:

Most politicians are OK with flying around with an American flag on their private jets. But not the Obamamessiah, oh no. He's special. He deserves his own special symbol. The American flag just wasn't cutting it for him.
You know, this guy is so arrogant that I'm surprised he can fit his giant head onto that plane. It's not about whether or not he should be allowed to do this; of course he's allowed to. It just shows an amazing level of egotism and narcissism, which of course anyone with half a brain already knew that Obama possessed. What's amazing is how much Obama flaunts it. He doesn't even try to appear humble.
But, who cares about how egotistical and narcissistic he is? He stands for change, and that's all you need to know.

"egotistical and narcissistic" In my lifetime several 'rulers' have developed their own logo. I think the skinheads use the most famous one that Hussein is imitating. This is the logo to be worn by his special security force to be armed, equipped and funded equal to the military. Wasn't that done previously and the unit called the SS? Why doesn't he simply adopt the Nazi emblem now and save trouble in the future. The idiots that follow him today will accept it without question. After all America is wrong to try and free 50+ million people today, so we must have been wrong to free the people of Europe. LIsten up people of the world, if you get in trouble don't call us or Obambi will show up with a lawnmower and your a** is grass. Just accept the slavery and don't whine, because the Obambi's have a patent on the whine.

This is such a non-story. The plane had american-like flags on it because that was the way the North American Airlines jet was painted, i.e. it's livery (see pic of the original livery here - http://tinyurl.com/5c3rxr) . Obama wants his livery to mimic his campaign logos....no surprise there.
This is like Obama using an American Airlines jet and having it painted as he has. But once word got out that he is using an American Airlines jet that used to have the word "American" on it, and now it doesn't, they think that makes him unamerican,...... er .....something.
The plane is required to have displayed a flag of the country of origin (United States), it does (barely visible hiding behind the wingtip, located in front of the registration, N755NA http://tinyurl.com/5bgpyg)

Doc - If Obama were white, and McCain black, I'd still be planning on voting for McCain because Obama simply doesn't have the qualifications for President. He might make an okay mayor, and maybe someday might be a state govenor - but President? I personally wouldn't vote for him for the local school board.
But you go ahead, believe it's some sort of racial thing. More and more it's becoming apparent that Obama's been pushed as being far more ready than he is - and something like this doesn't make him more so.

Whoa whoa whoa. It doesn't matter if the MSM starts declaring him the victor, Obama is not the President of the United States and the international community knows that. It would have been poor judgment to use the American flag, lest he enforce the false notion he's already one.
And like many said above, it's the logo he branded his campaign with from the beginning, or at least almost the beginning. It's on everything he's associated with, and to make his plane look like Air Force One would be an insult to our entire process. We still have a president, though the MSM would choose to ignore that fact.

Get real, people. MOST presidential candidates, INCLUDING John McCain, customize their planes when they become candidates for president. Senator Obama had the NORTH AMERICAN AIRLINES official logo (two American flags) replaced with his own logo. There is an American flag in front of the registration number. This is done so the plane will be recognized, not as a chartered plane but the personal plane of the nominee. Check this out with Snopes and let's not spread misleading information. Please check this out and look at Sen. McCain's plane. (I don't see an American flag anywhere on McCain's plane.)
