Beyond parody, my friends. Beyond parody.
Democrats will kneel before the "Temple of Obama" tonight. As if a Rocky Mountain coronation were not lofty enough, Barack Obama will aim for Mount Olympus when he accepts his party's nomination atop an enormous, Greek-columned stage - built by the same cheesy set team that put together Britney Spears' last tour.
...
"We've done Britney's sets and a whole bunch of rock shows, but this was far more elaborate and complicated and we had to do it in far less time," said Allen, of RDA Entertainment.
"The biggest challenge has been making sure we don't damage the playing field underneath."Asked who is harder to sat isfy - the Democrats or Britney - Allen replied: "I better not answer that."
More and more Americans are seeing Obama as a fad, a celebrity, a flash-in-the-pan -- and not as a serious politician about to assume the mantle of leader of the free world. And it's no wonder why. He doesn't act like a President; he acts like a rock star going on a world tour. He doesn't seem to understand that the 85,000 people who will be chanting "Obama!" and "Yes we can!" are already locked in for him. Those aren't the people he needs to impress. It's the undecided voters sitting at home he needs to impress, the voters who are finding his egotism and narcissism more and more of a turn-off. Yet he keeps pulling the Savior crap. Does he not learn?

Barak Obama is Zaphod Beeblebrox without extra appendages (at least as far as we can see). Thank God that this is not a Douglas Adams world thought the dolphins and mice might disagree.

He is defacing our beloved Mile High Stadium. I hope that Colorado has seen the last of him and his Dem cronies, but I don't think so.
What an ego!

You know, the greek temple thing is bad, but I think what he actually wants it to be is worse - a replica of the rose garden backdrop. First it was the redesigned presidential seal to a barack seal. Then it was a customized jet with his own seat labeled 'president'. Then it was 'i want to speak at the brandenburg gate like reagan and kennedy, you know, cuz I'm president'. then there was the obama seal 2. And now he wants to give his acceptance speech from the rose garden. meanwhile he does NOTHING to actually ACT presidential, like, I dunno, produce some evidence that he has some experience doing ANYTHING that would come in handy for a president.

Of course not. He's suffering the same issue that Britney and other dim-witted celebrities have - no one around him has any incentive to tell him otherwise. They are all parasites hoping for/counting on his favor, and it's in no one's interest to tell him how bad it looks. He just has an echo chamber.
Tonight's absurd spectacle will certainly be seen by many people for exactly what it is - a bizarre replay of the Nuremburg rallies where swooning idiots work themselves into a frenzy over vacuous platitudes and non-sequiters.

Can you show all of the pictures of Bush speaking in front of columns? I mean, grasp at some straws better than that! Columns + Tire gauges = one lame GOP that is the equivalent of Kerry's campaign..
