Heh. MSNBC just cut away from Barack Obama speaking about how John McCain has never done anything on education to go to a McCain-Palin rally in Ohio where they were reporting "Obama-size crowds." The crowds there are energetic, too. It is not an exaggeration to say the crowd is going wild.
Update: McCain is now seeing large crowds everywhere he goes. See, in politics timing is everything. Better to have your crowds growing now in America than to have had crowds of hundreds of thousands in Germany months ago. McCain is definitely peaking at the right time. The picture below is from several days ago. The video of the Ohio crowd today appears even larger than the one in the photo below.

Did anyone see the 'crowd shot' that made it look like ahhhm-sama had an arena full of people, yet, a wide angle vie from the back shows it was maybe 20% full, its was all about how they 'framed' it.
That says all I need to know about todays Dims. Damn the truth, lets frame it so it looks good enough to get us elected.
(If ahhhm-sama got 200,000 people to stay for a while after a rock concert, wonder if John & Sarah could get to see a big game at UM, PSU, or UT, and claim 100,000 came to see us?

The question is: Can McCain draw a crowd that size by himself? What happens when Palin goes out on her own, will the crowds follow her, stay with him, or will they both still pull huge crowds. The left is putting out the opinion that Palin is being kept close to McCain because she isn't ready yet to campaign alone. One could also argue that it is McCain that is not ready (in terms of pulling power, not knowledge of the issues) to go it alone.

They are learning, Sheik. Rance and his crew have finally begun to realize they have no effective weapons against Palin. So they are choosing the only target they think they can hit.
Too bad for them they are attacking a guy who is well used to political infighting and being abused for his courage. To Rance and his boyz, medals just mean something for Kerry to throw over a fence, while whining that we are 'doubting their patriotism'. Of course, if my candidate had no experience, lousy judgment, poor timing and a kleenex-thin skin like the O, I'd be pretty upset and depressed like they are.

By choosing Palin, McCain had some star power rub off on himself. On her own, she will draw the multitudes who want to see for themselves. Without Sarah, McCain will still draw crowds the size of which will be larger then they would have been before he threw the Hail Mary and Sarah caught it.
She was SUCH a great pick.

Talking point?? I wouldn't know, if that's the topic du jour, I don't frequent those blogs. To0 much misinformation.
The question I raise is this: Has the convention energized the supporters of McCain to turn out for his apperances, or are they just curious about Palin? We only have to wait a week or so to see.
Whoops, I see I used a French term, now people will suspect that I'm really John Kerry.
