National Anthem Cut From Obama Rally: What It Means

Much has been made about 17-year-old Zach Bencal, who was scrubbed from Obama's rally yesterday. But it's not about the young man, dare I say, but the fact that there was no room for the National Anthem at Obama's rally in New Hampshire.

No Obama rally is complete without a few celebrity sightings.

Actor Justin Long, co-star of "Live Free or Die Hard" and the popular "I'm a Mac/I'm a PC" commercials was spotted by the middle schoolers and posed for photos. Actor John de Lance, better known as "Q" from "Star Trek: The Next Generation," was also present.

Not present, or at least not singing the National Anthem at the rally was Londonderry senior Zach Bencal.

Bencal, who sings the anthem for a number of school events and is actively involved in local community theatre, had been contacted by the Obama campaign to sing the anthem. He agreed to do so, then was told later in the evening the anthem had been scratched from the program. Bencal said he was told by the campaign the decision was a simple programming change to make room for another speaker.

"I guess it just wasn't meant to be," Bencal said.

You're getting this, right? Those of you who are not sure if questions about Obama are legitimate or just right-wing hackery? For those who are not sure, how tall is the stack getting that you are not sure whether you should really question or not?

I'll bet you have to stand on your tip-toes to make eye contact with me by now. Is the 'stack of stuff' telling you anything?

The National Anthem was scrubbed to make room for another laudatory supporting speaker. The. National. Anthem.

Here's a test. Who said or wrote the following quotes and when?

Person 1: "What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away."

Person 1: _______________________

When: _________________________

Person 2: "Barack stood up that day and spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about the world as it is and the world as it should be. And he said that all too often we accept the distance between the two and settle for the world as it is, even when it doesn't reflect our values and aspirations. But he reminded us that we know what our world should look like. We know what fairness and justice and opportunity look like. And he urged us to believe in ourselves, to find the strength within ourselves to strive for the world as it should be.

[ . . . ] All of us driven by a simple belief that the world as it is just won't do. That we have an obligation to fight for the world as it should be. That is the thread that connects our hearts. That is the thread that runs through my journey and Barack's journey and so many other improbable journeys that have brought us here tonight, where the current of history meets this new tide of hope."

Person 2: _______________________

When: _________________________

Person 1: Sol Alinsky, "Rules for Radicals," 1972

Person 2: Michelle Obama, Democrat National Convention, 2008

She weaves into her speech Sol Alinsky's very words through her husbands vision of them, with all its radicalism and visions of changing the fundamental structures of American government packaged in the language that sells: "Hope," "change," and the dripping and endearing "thread that connects our hearts."

She must - they must - connect with the 'middle class' as Alinsky teaches, and rather than fight them - whose values they despise - instead enlist them as disaffecteds and fellow-victims and pit them against the 'upper-class.'

That's what her speech was trying to lay the foundation for: The Connection. And that's what the false packaging of Obama's "tax cuts for 95% of Americans" is trying to solidify, and thus enlist an all-out instigation of class warfare against the top 5%.

Is there not anyone who remembers or understands the rise of the Bolshevik revolution in 1917? This revolution is being waged with words, not arms. This was exactly the lesson Alinsky was trying to teach in his "Rules for Radicals."

When was the last Bill Ayers / Weather Underground bombing? Why, the attentive will notice that they ended right about the time of Alinsky's handbook. The war was only going to be lost with bombs and blood. And Alinsky laid the strategic foundation for what you are watching today, the rise of smiling radicals who have co-opted the system they despise in order to change it, destroy it, and remake society in the image they collectively envision.

And you are wondering just who you should vote for.

When there is no time for the National Anthem, which takes but 3 minutes to pause for, the indicator is impossible to ignore. Add it to past indicators involving the National Anthem. And add it to the rest of your stack of things you aren't sure if you should wonder about. Right on top of the destruction of Joe the Plumber, and right beneath the next public smiling dismissal of Obama's long associations with radical agitators, nay domestic terrorists. Let me know if you can see over it.

Go back. Read Michelle Obama's words again. Then call me crazy.

NOTE: I strongly urge readers to go to The Mark Levin Show and listen to the first 30 minutes of his October 14, 2008 broadcast. Or, just right-click here and save the MP3 file directly to your computer and listen. Because Mark explains - better than anyone I have heard to date - the Alinsky "Rules for Radicals" presence in the words spoken by both Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.

No one else wants to touch it. So radical are their ambitions that to even ponder it can be written off as radical. Such is how the game is played. Such is how you can be played.

I'm a core conservative, but I am also a pretty level-headed guy. I don't say or address such things lightly or with the exuberance of a conspiracy theorist.

Pay attention. It's free.

Now, with that in mind gentlemen, your fiscally conservative President Bush with his appointees (Bernanke, Paulson)have enacted this very plank of Marxist Socialism.

Hypocritical to call Obama a socialist? At least a socialist puppet. Obama's father and Raila Odinga belonged to the same Kenyan tribe. In 2006, Obama gave one million American tax dollars and campaigned in support of Odinga. This man Obama supports is a genocidal maniac and wants to establish Islam as the only true religion:

Obama's Kenya ghosts

"About 50 parishioners were locked into the Assemblies of God church before it was set ablaze. They were mostly women and children. Those who tried to flee were hacked to death by machete-wielding members of a mob numbering 2,000.

The 2008 New Year Day atrocity in the Kenyan village Eldoret, about 185 miles northwest of Nairobi, had all the markings of the Rwanda genocide of a decade earlier.

By mid-February 2008, more than 1,500 Kenyans were killed. Many were slain by machete-armed attackers. More than 500,000 were displaced by the religious strife. Villages lay in ruin. Many of the atrocities were perpetrated by Muslims against Christians.

The violence was led by supporters of Raila Odinga, the opposition leader who lost the Dec. 27, 2007, presidential election by more than 230,000 votes. Odinga supporters began the genocide hours after the final election results were announced Dec. 30. Mr. Odinga was a member of Parliament representing an area in western Kenya, heavily populated by the Luo tribe, and the birthplace of Barack Obama's father.

Mr. Odinga had the backing of Kenya's Muslim community heading into the election. For months he denied any ties to Muslim leaders, but fell silent when Sheik Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum, appeared on Kenya television displaying a memorandum of understanding signed on Aug. 29, 2007, by Mr. Odinga and the Muslim leader. Mr. Odinga then denied his denials.

The details of the MOU were shocking. In return for Muslim backing, Mr. Odinga promised to impose a number of measures favored by Muslims if he were elected president. Among these were recognition of "Islam as the only true religion," Islamic leaders would have an "oversight role to monitor activities of ALL other religions [emphasis in original]," installation of Shariah courts in every jurisdiction, a ban on Christian preaching, replacement of the police commissioner who "allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists," adoption of a women's dress code, and bans on alcohol and pork."

Helping children, regardless of how stupid or unsuccessful their parents are, is good for the economy, and good for the nation as a whole. And yes, successful people ought to contribute to the betterment of other people's children. Seems to me there is a similar line in the Oath of Office of The President of The United States of America. Ya think he will actually pay attention? I don't think so since every word and deed of this "gentleman?" seeks to dismember the Constitution. Barack Hussein Obama is an enemy of the Constitution and therefore The United States of America.

The "bailout" is not really a "bailout", nor is it "socialistic". The premise behind the plan is that since the government isn't subject to its own "mark to market" rules and regulations regarding capital adequacy, it will take on the assets of banks that have become devalued to the point where the banks cannot mark them to market or else their regulatory capital levels will not be met. For these assets, the Treasury will give them cash (or take equity, it's become a bit murky and I prefer the original plan of giving them cash) and take the assets onto its (well, I think technically it's the Federal Reserve's) balance sheet until such time as those assets can be sold, potentially at a profit, but possibly at a loss, depending on what happens with the housing market.

The "bailout" is more of a "reset" button for banks that got in over their heads with bad mortgage assets, at least partially because of government-sponsored entities such as Freddie and Fannie, whose foray into guaranteeing subprime mortgages was aided and abetted from Day 1 by Democrats and almost solely by Democrats, and partially because of mark to market accounting rules, which were put in place to solve a whole other set of issues (and from which the FASB is now backing away, seeing how much damage they can cause in illiquid markets inhabited by distressed sellers). Those banks will still have to go to the private markets to get enough capital to get them back to the appropriate capitalization levels to meet regulatory requirements, or they will have to be bought by banks that can, like Washington Mutual had to be bought.

Even the equity positions that the government is taking are more of the type of "options" so that the government can benefit if the banks in question make it back on their feet. These options would then presumably be sold in the open market and the funds transferred back to the Treasury where they could become part of the US governments general account, to be used to fund government programs. The idea isn't that Ben Bernanke is going to be sitting in on board meetings, which is what real socialism would entail.

So, no, I don't feel hypocritical when I call Obama a socialist because I know what I'm actually talking about, thankfully, rather than throwing out accusations of hypocrisy on topics that I know no more about than the average monkey knows about calculus.

If you dig into everyones garbage...you will find trash. The funny thing is everyone is so judgemental. Taking every statement and analyzing it to find their own meaning. Its ok to be objective and critical of the next leader of the free world. But people are questioning Baracks patriotism, ethics, and loyalty to the country that he loves. I highly doubt that Al Quaeda has a training camp on the southside of chicago. I also doubt that Obama will take the constitution and sell it on ebay. But whats likely is that things will get worse....if someone doesnt make a change. You cant hide from the inevitable. You may not be affected by the hardships of the middle class, lower middle class just yet. But it will only be a matter of time before you will be. Lets all agree to disagree and then go have a beer when its all over with!!!

John McCain and his Campaig... (Below threshold)
Campesino, Ricardo:

John McCain and his Campaign,
Of course no one would or could question Mr McCain's patriatism and his campaign knows this quite well. But, is this what qualifies someone for the complexities of being the right person for the President's office? I pray that we don't base our decision on John McCains patiotic status. These are changing times, tough times, the Republican greed machine has lied, mislead ,caused our World decline in every area of integrity, caused the sad deaths of our young hero Men and Woman, greed and power has saturated our politics, our envirnment , our Human Rights, and of course our means of survival on a dasy to day basis. That is what John McCain offers more of to the America we all love..We must give Barack OBama this oportunity to change Washington, not what John McCain has accomplished in his 30 years in government, he rpresents all the failures of our individual rights to suceed.
YES TO OBAMA

You say Hollywood is anti-American?? You know when ever there is a national tragedy...like hurricanes and so on Hollywood-actors and alike are the ones putting up millions for causes...and volunteering and opening organizations to aid...where the hell are the so-called Christian conservatives...I know. Some where calling someone unamerican while sitting on there ass not doing anything but making themselves rich and demonizing anyone who doesn't share there views. I also find it ODD that people would call any African-American unpatriotic...they have been considered unamerican ever since they were forced here and enslaved...yet during the civil war and every war thereafter they put themselves on the front line for a country who thought of them as less than human and unamerican.

If people keep trying to incite violence by calling Obama a terrorist there could a lot of people who end up hurt...It's a shame...this is the only country so hell-bent on eating it's own and racism...we go to Iraq to so called liberate them, yet treat African American here as terrorist who are unpatriotic.

But you know time will tell and what goes around...comes around.

jon:

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight.....

If you grow up in Hawaii , raised by your grandparents, you're 'exotic' and 'different.'

Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, you're an American story.

If your name is Barack, you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

Name your kids Willow , Trig and Track, and you're a maverick.

Graduate from Harvard Law School and you are unstable.

Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, then you're well-grounded.

If you spend 3 years as a community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, help register 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, 8 years as a State Senator of a district of 750,000 people, chair the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people, sponsor 131 bills, and serve on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works, and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

If your resume is local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town of 7,000 people, 2 years as governor of a state of 650,000 people, you're qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.

If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, left your ill wife, and married the heiress the next month, you're a Christian.

If you teach responsible, age-appropriate sex education, including the use of birth control, you erode the fiber of American society.

If you staunchly advocate abstinence-only education, while your teen daughter ends up pregnant, you're a responsible American.

If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, you don't represent America 's family values.

If your husband is called 'First Dude', has a DWI conviction, didn't register to vote until 25, and was a member of a group that advocated secession of Alaska from the USA, yours is the quintessential American family.

And, finally, if you're famous for your quick temper, received a rating of zero on environmental issues in all your many years as a Senator after a thorough and careful review of your voting record by the League of Conservation Voters, crashed several military aircraft before being shot down over Vietnam, and graduated from the Naval Academy in the lowest 1% of your class, you're the one to become Commander-in-Chief of this nation and have your finger on the red nuclear button

OK, much clearer now.

Where did you go to school?... (Below threshold)
Patriot J:

Where did you go to school? One on the back of a matchbook cover? With everything facing America today, that's the best talking point you could muster? Two wars, one illegal, the economy, Supreme Court nominees, and the course of the country for 4-8 years and the best you have is a song cut from a rally? Please. Was it because at the final debate, Obama wore a flag pin but McCAin did not? I recall when THAT was the litmus test for "patriotism". It's people like YOU who have ruined the credibility of the news and why newspapers are folding in this country.

You and your "outraged" supporters are a bunch of maroons....

See that fork stuck in you? It means "you're done".

While the not pledgeing to the flag and not wearing a flag lapel pin and now dropping the National Anthem is disturbing, at the moment I'm more concerned with Why the government is saying that in approx Ten (10) yrs retirement benefits will be no more, I mean after all isn't that why we are paying into Social Sec taxs. Maybe I'm missing something here, this is supposed to be a rich country, where's the money going into certain peoples pockets.

IamId:

Well, good morining everyone. I see the Libs have decided to join the group. I love how they dance in talking about why can't we all get along and change the tone, as they take the unfounded, backhanded swipes at John McCain.
I am sorry that they are confused about who holds the greatest culpability for the shape of our economy today (lets all blame W.).I guess Senetors Dodd, Frank and Obama don't want to "fess up".
And Tawan, I'll tell you where the Christians are in times of disaster...WE ARE ON THE FRONT LINES...not hiding behind our check books and forming a foundadtion on our celebrity. We are in Mississippi, and Louisiana and Texas and Haiti and Cuba rebuilding homes, and giving physical aid to people, actual people, who need someone to come along beside them and help them and hurt with them and cry with them and experience the losses with them, and share with them and care for them...get the picture. Don't hate God for being good.

Now Jim: Although we are can certainly agree on God's hand in this election, and that God's will is most definately being worked out as we see every day, we can never presume to know what God is doing. Keep praying, but unless God has personally spoken to you and told you exactly what he was going to do in the election, keep your pearls out of the pig pen.

Jon,
Since Obama is running for President of the USA one who hope that if anything had to cut it would be the speakers time and he would show respect to America by opening up with our National Anthem. It shows a lack in good judgment and makes one wonder of his love of country. He and his running mate have repeatedly question others Patriotism so it only FAIR that we can question theirs when they do act like this.

I do not look on leaders to be good because of race, gender , religion or national origin. The world has had a lot of really horrible people in power whether they be White (Hitler) Black (Ida Amin) Women (Countess Elizabeth Báthory) Asian (Pol Pot), Christian (Queen Mary) Muslim (Osama ). Also I do not see the great promise of Marxist, Socialist, Communist leaders as being good thing for the common man (Joseph Stalin, Khmer Rouge, Cultural Revolution)

So I just look at their acts and statements and then come to my own decision.

Therefore looking at the content of Obama character I see him as Marxist.

When you say in your own words you admire Sal Alinksy
When you your mentor is a member of the Communist Party of America
When the Democratic Sodalist Party endorses you.
When you attend a church Based on Black Liberation Theology which is racist Marxist Philosophies.
When you state in college you found all the Marxist professors to hang around with.
When you talk about dreams of your father. A father who believed in 100% tax for all Rich People

When you slip up and talk about using government to force the sharing of wealth.

When you want to have 7 dollar gas so you can redistribute American Wealth to countries oversea.

Your un patriot when you say people who where flag pins are faux patriots

You're a radical when all the people you associate with from your time in Hawaii to today are all radicals.

Nope skin colot does not play into it facts do.

twolaneflash:

Feel the change in the tides? It's the surge of Americans who've sworn, at some time in their lives, to defend The Constitution, not the country, not the President, not Congress, but The Constitution. Obama imperils The Constitution. Feel the frantic frenzied shivers in the Obama spine? It's FEAR, fear that America is seeing clearly the well-made plans for a complete Marxist takeover, plans that have been in the making since the bomb-throwing days of Bill & Bernadine. That other feeling? Schadenfreude over the antics of trolls unnamed! Joe, SHOW ME YOUR PAPERS! lol
Sing along, trolls, since your Dear Leader won't.

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Is the Republican party so desperate to win votes that this kind of silly, "patriotism" hair-splitting an issue? Yes, lets have four more years of war profiteering and socialism for the rich by a guy who wants to take away the few remaining health care benefits for the poor, but at least he wears his flag pin and salutes the rag and has the anthem at his rallies of crazy old ladies who shout "kill the terrorist, he's a secret muslim" because a guy is black and has a middle eastern name. Yes, that's much better. That's nowhere near as bad as cutting out an old boring song from a party...

hcddbz:

love for or devotion to one's country
If you do not have that then why would you want to be President of that country. Patortism is not an option. If you have no devotion to the USA then the oath of office means noththing.

Obama is the one who question other love of country.
"You know, the truth is that right after 9/11, I had a pin," Obama said. "Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq War, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security, I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest.

If he feels he can question the motavations of others weariing American flag pins everyone can question his.

When he maintains political, professional, finical and spiritual relationships with people who publicly attack the USA both verbally and literally I believe it is fair to ask about his devotion to this country. When he talks about being a citizen of the world one wonders how he will serve two masters. Either he is citizen of the World or a Citizen of the USA. The president has to look at what is in the best interest of the United States and then work on getting others to see that. If he must compromise it must not be to the detriment of USA.

When he exposes Marxist beliefs about sharing the wealth, It makes one pause. Because , anyone who knows Marx knows he advocated a dictatorship to force others to share the wealth.

BTW It is the Flag, a symbol of our heritage. If you do not like I,t you can Burn it. Which is the proper way to dispose of the Flag of the US. Just do not call symbol that men and women have died to protect a rag.

Looks like the Obama-morons... (Below threshold)
LogicalUS:

Looks like the Obama-morons infected your site....

The question which Obama has to answer before he is elected as president is:

Why has Obama been drawn to a succession of openly rabid anti-American associates who have an extreme hatred of this country, its government and a large segment of its citizens? (Ayers, Doern, Phleger, Klonsky, Frank Marshall Davis, and Jeremiah Wright)

What attracts Obama to such people? Don't the American people deserve a look at Obama thinking process concerning these radical people?

Points to Ponder:D... (Below threshold)
Randicus:

Points to Ponder:

Does no one question the timing of when Obama left Rev. Wright's church? It was a political move, pure and simple, and you would have to kid yourself to believe that after 20 years Rev. Wright all of the sudden lost it and became a radical "preacher" and this drove Barack to disagree with his pastor's teachings. So then the logical conclusion is that Obama's mentor for 20 years had some ideas, to put it sarcastically, that were "out of the box." These only perpetuated the divide of America.

Also why does Joe the Plumber require more investigative reporting than William Ayers? Maybe Joe was a former radical plumber who plumbed without a license (even though his state doesn't require one). At the very least, I'm sure Mr. Ayers didn't have his terrorist license.

Why is America in love with a guy who got his talking points from Bob the Builder? Can we do it? Yes, we can!

Obama might be a socialist radical, and I said might, but at least he can type. Yes He Can!

One point missing from many... (Below threshold)

One point missing from many blogs/forums is that should the 'Great Leader' win in November (Heaven Forbid)which will be a disaster for the WHOLE world not just the USA but the fact that 'Loopy Lou" Biden will be President shortly after.Just a thought!
Re the Osama Hussein trolling off to Hawaii. I guess the poisoned chocolates arrived just in time so Blambum can race over and have a super 'photo-shoot' with the poor granny, who probably has never heard of Blimbam in her life.
Hussein Osama is probably a 'switch baby' which is common in Africa, a way of getting sobs into other countries. Europe and the Americas are full of them.
I woder how quickly we can impeach Biden? We have all the evidence we need.

THE PERFECT STORM FOR A DEP... (Below threshold)

THE PERFECT STORM FOR A DEPRESSION ...
A far left Media ...
A far left President ...
A far left Congress ...
A far left Senate ...
A far left Supreme Court ...
This would eliminate all the checks and
balances that our democracy is based upon.
Barack Obama formed his political and economic
ideology, and his radical associations, during the
TWENTY YEARS ... yes, that's TWENTY YEARS ... when
he followed Marxist Black Liberation Theology, in
Jeremiah Wright's anti-American, racist church.
And, now, with our country on the brink of depression,
Obama wants to impose new laws which would change
America into a third world country.
You may be upset with George Bush, but in spite
of Obama's slogans, John McCain is NOT George Bush ...
so don't over react to Obama's 600 million dollar
Propaganda campaign designed to highjack America !!!
A vote for Obama is a vote for changing America beyond
recognition ... and, it would be a vote for voter fraud,
a corrupt media, socialism, and the end to America as we know it.
Keep America free, strong, safe, and American ...
Elect McCain/Palin on November 4th.
