Now you see it. Now you don't.
Poof! Agenda disappears from Obama's Web site.
Over the weekend President-elect Barack Obama scrubbed Change.gov, his transition Web site, deleting most of what had been a massive agenda copied directly from his campaign Web site.Gone are the promises on how an Obama administration would handle 25 different agenda items - everything from Iraq and immigration to taxes and urban policy - all items laid out on his campaign Web site, www.BarackObama.com.
Instead, the official agenda on Change.gov has been boiled down to one vague paragraph proclaiming a plan "to revive the economy, to fix our health care, education, and social security systems, to define a clear path to energy independence, to end the war in Iraq responsibly and finish our mission in Afghanistan, and to work with our allies to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, among many other domestic and foreign policy objectives."
Perhaps change few really believed in? Dunno, but there's nothing more frustrating than to be held to one's promises.
Personally, I interpret this as a good sign that perhaps President-elect Obama acknowledges that he cannot possibly govern as far left as he campaigned. Unfortunately for him, scrubbing his own site is far different from expunging the global electronic network of archives and record.

I hope someone has saved the list just as it had been on the Obama site. Remember the Contract with America? Republicans judged themselves and were judged by others on how many of the items got done and when.
All need to be able to refer back to the list frequently for those purposes.
Surely, the President-Elect deserves the same opportunity and exposure.

Eh - no surprise here.
Face it - the ones that could pinpoint Obomber as a charlatan, fraud, and tool of the Chicago/IL Dhim party will continue to trace his devolution.
The mouth-breathin' 'tards that elected him will continue to believe in him through the MSM that will never investigate ANYTHING that could detract from the One.
Nothing to see here, indeed.

Amazing, idn't it? However, the same people who re-elected Pelosi in spite of her physics-defying absence of change will re-elect our shining new president. Witness the final stages of the dumbing down of America. Sad, but we only have ourselves to blame. Who here has truly challenged the government run education system and demanded the accurate representation of this country's founding to our nation's youth? I thought as much. I'm also guilty as charged. My main focus was my own children, but I did nothing outside of my family. Meanwhile the vital remnants of our Republic are fading from view. Consider Cicero's quote concerning the Roman republic:
"Long before our time, the customs of our ancestors
molded admirable men, and in turn those eminent men
upheld the ways and institutions of their forebears. Our
age, however, inherited the Republic as if it were some
beautiful painting of bygone ages, its colors already fad
ing through great antiquity; and not only has our time
neglected to freshen the colors of the picture, but we
have failed to preserve its form and outlines."

It must be nice to be on the left and not be encumbered by things like integrity, morals, keeping your word.
The motto of the left is "the ends justify the means." Whatever it takes to get them to the place where they can save the world from the dummy's (re: Pelosi's comments about Prop 8) is worth it... even if it's lies.
You're partly right, Clay... the dumbing down is well in progress, but I don't think it's beyond hope yet. We've got to re-win the war of ideas and values. That's hard work, but we've got the capital to do it. It just takes us doing it.

I guess that means President Barack Hussein Obama's (I use that middle name as a badge of honor, not a slur) minions will scrub the thousands of hours and thousands of column inches of media and newspapers where he and Vice President Biden discuss their policy agendas in great detail. I mean, if it's not on their official website, it doesn't exist, right?
