Once again the bias in the media has raised its nasty head.
Sorry We're Booked, White House Tells Obamas shows how the Left is creating something out of nothing. The Obama's wished to move in early to the Blair house, which is a transition house for incoming presidents to stay. President-elect Obama wishes to move in early so his daughters Malia and Sasha can start school on schedule.
Because the Blair house is unavailable we are to wonder who could be more important than the messiah.
It remained unclear who on Bushes guest list outranked the incoming President.
Some real digging was underway to determine that the current President and his wife have no family or friends from Texas staying, but that it has been booked for "receptions and gatherings" by members of the outgoing Bush administration. Pretty clear that President Bush is a racist for not allowing the Obama's to move in early, as the title is reminiscent of the 'Irish Need Not Apply' period of our history.
The transition team of the President-elect of the United States is unsure if this crisis can be resolved and hope that the girls will not miss the start of school.
Obama transition officials said that the family is considering other housing options and are hopeful the girls will not miss the start of school. "The White House has been extremely accommodating to the Obama family needs -- and the entire process has been smooth and friendly," the transition official said.
If not figuring out that the options for the President-elect are far too numerous to list, then the Obama administration could be in trouble when the big test occurs. In case you forgot, Joe Biden said this:
"It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."
The brilliant senator president isn't fairing too well on preparations. I pray that this internal crisis created by the media has toughed Obama's skin so he does better on his next test.

Hmmm ... you'd think that Obama could use some of that $30 million still in his campaign bank acccounts to rent some apartments or something. It's not like he is totally dependent upon free room and board from the US Government.

They act and talk as though Blair house is their only option and if their kids miss some school it will be the Bush Administrations fault.
Typical Democrats, always blaming someone else for their failure to take responsibility for themselves.
If those girls can't start school at the beginning of the term it will only be the fault of the Obamas.

Maybe he can, maybe he can't. There are laws about what a person can spend campaign money on.

It's amazing how you all manage to read so much into a simple statement. I would suggest some therapy...
It's not a big deal to anyone but you; not the Bushes, not the Obamas. No called Bush a racist, in fact that is the ONE thing I can say for sure that he ISN'T. No one is crying about it but a bunch of right wing-nuts who are still smarting over the spanking the GOP got last month and are looking for a focus for their bigotry and sour grapes. You guys really need to try harder, you are starting to look like a bunch or retards...more than usual...
And don't worry about the Obamas, they have the resources to solve this "crisis", just like he will solve some of the ones that actually matter. Since you all are fond of calling him the Messiah you obviously worship him in secret so you should have a little faith, lol.

Just a dumb question--where did Obama live while he was a Senator? I know Michelle and the girls stayed in Chicago, but couldn't they "camp out" in the Senator's digs for a short time?

Obama isn't making a big deal of it. And it's not just the lefties that are. It would be common courtesy to let them move in. But common courtesy is not so common in this administration. I think that's why it's a big deal. Just that last power grab for no reason except that they can. I'll be SO glad when this administration is gone forever.

Wow, just another example of why even those on the right voted guest poster Jennifer to receive the status of "Wizbang reader". You take a mindless media fluff piece and turn it into a "crisis" involving racism, indicating Obama "could be in trouble". What's the matter, you couldn't find a picture of him picking his nose or something?
I'm surprised you missed the Dayoffgate scandal!

Try just reading the words in those articles Oyster. It's a minor story and except for the commentary in the KOS article (yeah that's a major news outlet, lol) it just states that the Obamas couldn't move in because the place is booked. None of the drama and hyperbole found in this blog. But of course when you are looking for offense or something to critisize, I suppose even a innoucuous two paragraph story can be spun into a major deal. After two years, old habits are hard to break for some I suppose. Thank God you guys have FoxNews, eh? lol.

Obama aides said they understand the complex White House schedules and said the Bushes have been very helpful.
A second Obama aide said the family remains optimistic the transition from Chicago to Washington would be smooth, regardless of living location.
The White House has been extremely accommodating to the Obama family needs - and the entire process has been smooth and friendly, a transition official said.
