Spectacular! Looking at the images one does indeed marvel at the glory of God. Thank you for the reminder of the reason for the season. A Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a blessed and successful New Year to you, as well.

Merry Christmas to you. Great post!! Just think, there are many poor, deluded souls out there that think all of that beauty and majest happened purely by accident. HA!
May the Lord bless you and your family as we celebrate the birth of his son Jesus.

Are we agnostics permitted to appreciate the wonders of the universe without getting into an argument about the existence of an artist?

Why do agnostics/atheists get into a snit when a person of faith dares to publicly express that faith?!

If you're going to appreciate the beauty of these photos, you should understand that they were filtered and colored by a NASA employee, who decides which wavelengths of light to include, and with what color and intensity to represent them. That person gets some credit for the "aesthetics".

How about when they express that faith by calling all others "poor, deluded souls"? Is that snit-worthy?

Michael, we are the ones God created these spectacular images for, as hard as that is for some people to believe. We are that precious in his sight. And as dismal as the events of this earth appear right now:
"The Kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ."
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I pray for my fellow Wizbangers to have peace of heart and mind at this special time, and have a very Merry Christmas.
p.s. I refuse to be "politically correct" and say Happy Holiday. It is my fervent desire to keep Christ in Christmas.
