I was flipping channels and stopped at MSNBC (dont ask me why). Andrea Mitchel was on a panel in a show I believed hosted by Anderson Cooper. SHe was saying something about "Israel has to make the most of the ground offensive to do as much damage as possible to Hamas in the next few days before a ceasefire is forced (dont remember exact word but the gist was that Israel would be forced to accept a ceasefire)."

I am asking myself . WHY??? Who is going to put troops on the ground to mandate Israel do anything? The UN?? Please.

This is the typical liberal thinking that has drug this on for years longer than it needed to be.

Israel needs to say screw the rest of the world (they will get condemned no matter what they do) and do what needs to be done. We did it with Iraq and got that boil named Saddam Hussein off our ass. Will wiping out Hamas end Israel's problems? Not all of them but hey one at a time, one at a time.

Gotta love the irony of 6. chest-thumping about wanting to "give death"to certain people in response to a post that criticizes those same people for belonging to a religion that "glorifies death so much."

This is why countries with Hamas type leadership can never be allowed to have nuclear weapons. MAD only works when the other side cares about the lives of it citizens. These people welcome death and destruction. They hate Israel more than they love their own children so if they have a nuclear weapon they would use it with no consideration for retaliation.
The only people who can stop this are the Palestinians. They must choice leadership that actually cares about their existence as people rather than the death of Jews. Until then we most weed out the bad seed with ordnance.

Killing Hamas is a good thing. Anybody who doesn't support killing terrorists is actually defending them. Hamas are worse than the Nazis, they would kill all the Jews in the world if they could. Hamas is what makes Gaza much worse than it could be. If they would give up the dream of destroying Israel and stopped all missiles and suicide bombers, and all terrorist attacks, Israel would welcome doing business with them, and things would be peaceful. There is no negotiating with a mad man, or with Jihadists who want to die to go get their 72 virgins.
But don't worry, I bet Israel will quit too early. If Israel is destroyed, terrorism in the rest of the world will just increase, it will never stop, as long as their are Radical or rather, Fundamentalist Muslims.

Like most of the sane people here, my reply is: "OK. That works for me."

The real enemy here is radical fundamentalist Islam - not Islam in general. These guys are nuts, and they are bullying the normal, moderate followers of Islam the same way that they are attacking Christians, Jews, and atheists.

One of the great failures of modern liberalism is that they won't see the problem, they refuse to deal with the real problem, they interfere with those who do want to solve the problem, and they have no real solution to offer. Liberals for years have been telling us that war is never the answer and that we can negotiate a solution to all of these problems. The problem is that they never say exactly HOW this is going to be negotiated.

(I saw The Dark Knight, the newest Batman movie this holiday. It has a great line: "Some men aren't looking for anything logical ... They cannot be bought. They cannot be bullied. They cannot be negotiated with. They just want to watch the world burn.")

For several years now the US and its allies have pursued a "Fly Paper" strategy: giving radicals the opportunity to fight us on foreign soil so that we can kill them. It's a war of attrition that we could have won. Islamic moderates were doing better because they stayed home while radicals died and got embarrassed on the battlefield. Liberals have undermined that strategy, and now the radicals are gaining in power and popularity again. Apparently liberals want to play cops and robbers abroad and play defense at home. That looks like a losing strategy to me, and a strategy that's going to get a lot of innocent people in the West killed. In particular, liberals are proving that Osama bin Laden was correct in 1996: the US has a powerful military force, but the US can be defeated because its people and its political leadership is weak.

If those people are willing to die for what they believe in, but the West is not, then it appears that their ideas - not matter how misguided - are stronger. That's really sad, but liberals have shown weakness to a determined enemy, and that's what we are left with.

The delusional insanity of the Left is frightening. They ignore all facts and logic. Hamas, a terrorist organization killing the so-called Palestinians' hope for peace', are evil garbage, they must be eliminated. They have sent thousands, yes thousands of missiles into Israel over the past couple of years and Israel had never exercised their right of self-defense, until recently, when Hamas broke the ceasefire and started firing rockets again.

Israel is FINALLY doing the right thing. If Hamas is destroyed, then, if the rest of the 'Palestinians' really want peace they can give up their dream of destroying Israel, if not, they will never have peace.

Israel must destroy as much of Hamas as possible before the MSM and the idiots and ignorants whine loud enough for them to stop. They must only quit when they are ready.

For EVERY missile shot into Israel at least ONE missile should be returned to the area as close as possible to the shooter. Tit for tat. Every single missile should be returned. Period. Treat them like adults, if they kill, they will be killed. If they send missiles, they will receive them. That is the only way they will learn. Screw public opinion, force them to see the truth, or let them be damned.
