Three children were taken from their parents in New Jersey-
State authorities have removed Adolf Hilter Campbell and his two sisters from their parents' home in Holland Township, township police Chief David Van Gilson said today. That means the only reason were taken from their parents is because of how they were named. That is simply idiotic.New Jersey's Division of Youth and Family Services took the 3-year-old, as well as JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, 1, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, who turns 1 in April, the chief said.
The parents, Heath and Deborah Campbell, were to appear for a hearing today at the Hunterdon County Justice Center, the chief said, but the hearing was postponed.
The chief didn't know why the children were taken but said his department received no reports of abuse or negligence.
Then that can be said for Heath and Deborah Campbell choice in names for their children. Its a free world, and people can name their children what they want, but naming a child shouldn't be some kind of statement of what your views are. Plus considering what Adolph Hitler did, naming a child after him is in very bad taste.
I pity the children in the middle of this. The Campbells may be fine raising kids, but their children are going to take hell because how they are named.

This family was in the news last month also, because a local bakery refused to make a birthday cake that said "Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler."
Sheesh. And I thought naming your kids Dweezil and Moon Unit was awful.

If the Chief doesn't know whey the children were taken from their parents, by strangers, then he had better start arresting people for Kidnapping!!
State workers have no right to remove children from homes withour due process, and a damned good reason. The courts really need to reel in their Child Welfare.
Of course, if the family were "celebrities," or stinking rich, nobody would notice their names.

Look, how is this in any way different than the photos of little Palestinian children -- barely old enough to walk steadily, photographed with Hezbolla kaffirs and toy uzis and trained to chant "death to jews"? Most of us here in the States rightly recognize those actions as child abuse, in and of themselves.
I understand the general uneasiness with removing kids from parents for political beliefs -- but that simply isn't the problem here. This household environment is a glorification of hate and death and violence. And I don't mean "hate" in the way most PC liberals use the terms (ie: opposition to same-sex marriage or progressive tax rates or whatever) but the real deal. Nazism is a death cult, no different than Hezbolla, Al Queda, the Koresh's Branch Davidians or Jim Jones's cult. We don't think twice about removing kids from such an enviornment in other cases, why would we here?

This is worse than nutty, it crosses the line into the realm of despotism. I don't approve of people who name their children Hitler, but this is clearly not the solution. How long before we start taking kids away from parents for other names? Where do you draw the line? What if someone names their child Stalin Campbell? Pol Pot Campbell? Ahmadinejad Campbell? Kim Jong-il Campbell? George Bush Campbell? Barack Obama Campbell? Hillary Clinton Campbell?
Another point: if we're going to object to the names that people give their children, we should do it WHEN they name their children, not three years later and not by taking their children away!

Hey you! Armchair pundit! Do you disagree vehemently with something that is in pretty poor taste, but falls within the law? You should try new, improved "Public Nuisance Municipal Ordinances!" They cover a number of activities that are either nominally legal, or unenforceable without a total police state!
- Automated traffic violation cameras!
- "You kids turn down that racket!"
And now,
- Naming your kid Adolf Hitler!

The Chief has no control over Child Protective Services. These issues are handled by the Department of Social Services under the Department of Health and Human Services.
The only group who would have knowledge of the allegations would be the CPS worker, the suspect family, and the judge. A judge has to approve of the removal beforehand. The families are always given due process.
Also, it clearly states that the children were not removed because of their names. More than likely, unless the family goes public with the allegations, no one will ever know why this happened.
