Lindsay Graham was on Fox News touting the Republican alternative that sounds more like a true stimulus. Amazingly Graham pulled no punches in his critique of Obama's leadership, something I didn't think I'd see. He gets exceedingly mad as he talks about the 16 senators who have locked themselves into a room and are trying to figure out how to spend $800 billion, our money!, by themselves and by tonight! WTF! Watch the video and then call your senators and demand that this process be slowed down so that this bill be considered.
Hat tip to Allahpundit for the video.
Update: The Washington Times reports that the Congressional Budget Office says that Obama's "stimulus" will do more harm to the economy long term than if we did nothing. Read:
President Obama's economic recovery package will actually hurt the economy more in the long run than if he were to do nothing, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday.CBO, the official scorekeepers for legislation, said the House and Senate bills will help in the short term but result in so much government debt that within a few years they would crowd out private investment, actually leading to a lower Gross Domestic Product over the next 10 years than if the government had done nothing.
CBO estimates that by 2019 the Senate legislation would reduce GDP by 0.1 percent to 0.3 percent on net. [The House bill] would have similar long-run effects, CBO said in a letter to Sen. Judd Gregg, New Hampshire Republican, who was tapped by Mr. Obama on Tuesday to be Commerce Secretary.
We have to defeat this $800 billion boondoggle. Call your senators. Kill the bill!

To which Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barry replied: "Well, d'uh! That's the plan!"

Everybody, and I mean everybody, save a copy of this full story somewhere you'll remember it, post it on your blogs, email it to yourself, etc. because if this stuff hits the fan later and they try to blame someone else (you know, like a handy republican) you'll want the reports that they were warned of the impending damage. Not that it will do much good, we all know what CRA did to housing to cause this whole mess and Bush, who actually warned the Dems about it to no effect, was still blamed.

Graham is a big spender who feels he got unfairly locked out of the counting room. Period.
Half a billion more for the banks? The Democrats don't need any help in that department. Back to Zippers Lounge, Lindsay! And wipe your eyes!

Excuse My French,
Graham is one of my US Senators.
The last election cycle, I did not vote for him in the Republican primary. But sadly, I had to vote for him to keep from sending some numb-nutted democrat to the Senate.
It 'splains it all when you consider that this person absolutely worships John McCain. If John McCain turns a sharp corner, poor ole Lindsey-boy's nose will get broken.
I just keeping hoping we can find someone like Jim Demint to take his ass to the cleaners in the next Republican primary.
I used to have great hope for him until I realized that he, like John McCain got to Washington and actually believed and thought the crap they read every morning in the New York Times and Washington Post should guide their political future.

Rasmussen now has support for the bill at only 37%! Opposed is at 43%. 50% say it will make things worse. More than 50% say tax cuts would be better. Keep up the pressure, everybody.
