Hey guys -- it's time for the next wave of tea parties! Are you ready to go Galt?
The Tax Day Tea Party is a national collaborative grassroots effort organized by Smart Girl Politics, Top Conservatives on Twitter, the DontGo Movement and many other online groups/coalitions.The Tea Party protests, in their current form, began in early 2009 when Rick Santelli, the On Air Editor for CNBC, set out on a rant to expose the bankrupt liberal agenda of the White House Administration and Congress. Specifically, the flawed "Stimulus Bill" and pork filled budget.
During Rick's rant (see video below), he called for a "Chicago tea Party" where advocates of the free-market system could join in a protest against out of control government spending.
A few days later, grassroots activists and average Joe Americans began organizing what would soon become the Nationwide Chicago Tea Party effort.
On February 27th, an estimated 30,000 Americans took to the street in 40+ cities accross the country in the first nationwide "Tea Party" protest.
Organizers of the February 27th events pledged to continue on with an even bigger and better protest to follow the first. With April 15th being "Tax Day", it was decided to schedule the second round of Tea Party protests to ride alongside the tax deadline.
And with that, the "Tax Day Tea Party", the second round of the Nationwide Tea Party protests, moved into reality.
It's time to let the ego-driven, out of touch, power hungry politicians know that enough is enough. Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid & Co. are pouring trillions -- yes, trillions -- down the hole, giving us a debt that our children and grandchildren will be paying off.
On February 27th, thousands of Americans in cities across the country made their voices heard. And on April 15th, we're going to make our voices heard again. What are we protesting? We're protesting spending over $800 billion in wasteful pork. We're protesting 9,000 earmarks. We're protesting the entitlement mentality that's overtaking the country. We're protesting taxpayer-funded bailouts of corporations that deserve to fail.
Last week, thousands of first-time protestors gathered in a grassroots effort to make a statement. And it's time to go Galt. Are we working to make money for ourselves and our families, or are we working to fund the socialist dreams of an out-of-control, radical government?
Make your voice heard. Find out if there's a Tax Day Tea Party in your city here, and if there isn't, then organize one yourself. For updates, check the website or #teaparty. Michelle also has info.
As for me, I will be attending the Jacksonville Tax Day Tea Party. If you're in the North Florida/South Georgia area, go and sign up. I'll keep you informed of the local updates and details (and on Twitter as well), and I hope to be seeing a lot of you there!

NO MORE TIME LEFT!
We don't need any half-measures for E-Verify enacted by the lawmakers. At the moment E-Verify is free and voluntary. Legal American Workers want the program as a MANDATORY law. In the future it can even exceed it's 99.6 success evaluation. It would have required parasite companies to verify the immigration status of their workers "after being hired." The pro-illegal alien radical groups, including the ACLU, US Chamber of Commerce funded by the business community, have tried to downplay its value.
As an amendment to President Obama's Stimulus deal, it was secretly killed by Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV). So where does his loyalty lie? He's shadowed by the usual suspects that includes Pelosi,Gutierrez, Feinstein, Crowley, and the hidden faces cringing in dark corners. They have all likely have been brought by the multi-national corporations. Vote them out next time they come up for election. Crucify them?
If you value your job, within any trade or profession it is not safe. Even the high professional jobs have been stolen by visa over-stayers.
They vote on its reinstatement on March 6 in the Washington. We need a federal mandate! Not 5 years, but perpetuity! Call WA (202) 224-3121

Wizbang tear down those ads! You're only feeding the beast by earning money. I'm sure you can grow your own food, make your own clothes, and power your own home.
Even better, cut to the chase and encourage your readers to refuse to pay taxes. Eventually you'll be tried, convicted and incarcerated costing the government even more to house and feed all of you thus hastening the day of it's downfall! Of course once you're a convicted tax felon you'll surrender your right to vote in many states. But that won't matter once you've succeeded in destroying the government!

Please, please, go Galt you idiots! The country needs the jobs. I notice all the loudmouths calling for their fellow morons to go Galt, never seem to actually "go Galt". What a blow for the country it would be to not have your wisdom and creativity. As usual, this is another pathetic attempt to grab a news cycle. We could never be so lucky as to actually get this boon.

Anyway, about the Galt thing. Heaven forfend if our glorious capitalist heroes Go Galt! Imagine how parasite government workers like my schoolteacher mom would have suffered if the guys at Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers and AIG had gone off to hide in Galt's Gulch! Perish the thought!
Nobody's going to Go Galt because their income would cease. It might sound great in a utopian fantasy novel, but utopian fantasy novels aren't real life.

I read Atlas Shrugged. I don't remember John Galt attending any government protests...
Anyway, remember how ridiculous Alec Baldwin looked when he said he would move to Canada but then he didn't. That's how ridiculous you conservatives are going to look over this Go Galt business.
