Drudge is reporting a curious yet poorly thought-out instance of overseas Obama worship:

A German frozen food company hopes to raise sales with a new product: Obama fingers. The tender, fried chicken bits come with a tasty curry sauce. The company says it was unaware of the possible racist overtones of the product.

Sprehe, a company that has all manner of frozen delicacies on offer, has come up with a new product it calls "Obama Fingers." Far from being real digits, though, the "fingers" in question are "tender, juicy pieces of chicken breast, coated and fried," as the product packaging claims.
Fried chicken, in other words. With a curry dip.
"We noticed that American products and the American way of eating are trendy at the moment," Judith Witting, sales manager for Sprehe, told SPIEGEL ONLINE. "Americans are more relaxed. Not like us stiff Germans, like (Chancellor Angela) Merkel."
Funny, I thought the US of KKK-A was a nation of cowards afraid to openly discuss issues of race. I guess we should listen to the enlightened, culturally superior inhabitants of the "European street" more often. After all, they are so knowledgeable about the proper role of America with respect to foreign policy issues. I bet they could really teach us a thing or two about cultural sensitivity as well.
ADDED: Michelle Malkin has started a Photoshop contest based on Obama Fingers. My favorite entry so far:

Interesting...I had to read to the bottom before I could figure out what chicken fingers had to do with racism. I thought it was some crack at him being a "chicken".
I guess I haven't been dialogued enough if I can't discern racism in the penumbras of the permutations of frozen snacks.
