Loonacy Of Presidential Proportions

Obama has done it.

He's finally screwed the pooch this time. Drank from his well of invincibility one too many times to discover it's nothing but pure Kool-aid, and now his shiny, golden veneer is starting to strip away.

He and his gaggle of political goons are scared.

As per his bidding, he and his White House Chicago thugs have been forced to regress from an empty "hope and change" blurb to violent rhetoric like "If you get hit, we will punch you back twice as hard."

Is this the Sopranos?

Valiant prose like that really makes one proud to be an American right now, doesn't it? Such class.

We are witnessing an administration and an entire political party to begin to unravel right before our weary eyes, and all in such a short amount of time.

These sniveling Democrats, lowering themselves into calling dissenting Americans names like "Astroturf", and "internet rumor-mongers" who are "carrying swastikas", are officially showing the true colors of this pathetic administration and its radical lackeys, and there is nothing their state-run media hacks can do to help them.

Losing control of their seemingly once invincible aura, they have helplessly transformed almost overnight into a frightened Chicago street gang, who, frankly, have gotten the shit kicked out of them by the Neighborhood Watch program.

The resistance to Obama's Health Scare boondoggle is authentic to the core, from the hearts and minds of well-intentioned, educated, articulate people hailing from all sides of this nation's political spectrum. They have finally had enough of the crooked Obama-Pelosi-Reid triumvirate, which operates by political stiff-arming, forcing the populace to accept ill-prepared, impossible to understand, shotgun legislation designed to transform the institutions of our nation into their own personal jack-booted thugacracy. Nothing of what they have done has been born of good intentions for the common welfare of our nation. As they are so fond of pointing out, "they won", and they feel it is their right to operate the way they do, just because they can. And the quicker, larger, and more confusing they make it, the more punch drunk the nation gets.

Not any more.

This week was a turning point. It may well become the defining moment of Obama's presidency, making him one of the most destructive presidential care-takers in the history of our nation. His master plan of blowing up our country's institutions in favor of his own warped socialist desires, along with his willing, power-drunk congressional conspirators, is finally starting to sicken the citizenry.

To quote one of our past enemies, Obama has managed to "awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

He has no idea.

Amazing...simply amazing.

It of course is on YouTube if you want to see it. It raises a big question for me...in a week when the WH has been (I think fairly) accused of quashing dissent...how does he make that statement and think no one is going to object?

I have a confession to make. Today I went on to Amazon.com and ordered Rules for Radicals because I want to gain a better insight into our current president's manifesto. I vowed to myself some time ago not to do this because I didn't want my bucks subsidizing royalties for this type of political philosophy. However, I guess I decided I wanted the written notes from the seminar this administration is currently sponsoring. It is a very interesting time in this country and I am cautiously optimistic that concerned citizens from both major political parties will deny these clowns their massive statist agenda.

Shallow - a deserved sobriquet - it's very easy to dismiss the fringe right such as yourself when the airwaves are full of quotes from Boss Limbaugh and Mad Glenn Beck and the videos and photos of the (ahem) interested citizens don't lie.

But let me be crystal clear - the wingnutia crowd's right to be stupid, loud, boorish and sophomoric in their speech is a fundamental and basic right of this country. They are entitled to it, you are entitled to it. I hope you keep on keeping so so to speak. the more you folks do, the more you marginalize yourselves.

Finally, I'll learn to proofread when you right an intelligent post. Deal?

As for my president, some 7 months into office, I'm very proud of him. Indeed the country is is bad shape, as a result of bad governance by both democrats and republicans in the past. It's going to be a long. slow recovery and I'll continue to stick by him. You certainly have the right to profoundly disagree with him - frankly I do to in some areas. But when you look like whack jobs on the loose and sound down right stupid when you write THIS IS THE TURNING POINT when a few geeked up far rightists act boorish and stupid I say amen cause I know you're going to continue being marginalized.

I ask you 2 easy questions: do you condemn Beck when he suggests poisoning Pelosi? [Please, please don't respond with the strawman "you did it to Bush" argument]. Do you think that kind of talk - by anyone, left or right,- is incendiary. I'll take your silence as believing it's OK for Beck to suggest poisoning a democratically elected representative in our government and that incendiary talk is just fine.

Lastly, I'll give just a small civics lesson. We have elections. When one side does they get to control the agenda. That's not forcing something on the populace you twit. Our country isn't ruled by plebiscite just so you know and the only do-overs are every 2 years at the ballot.

He's reversed the economic downturn! Why, unemployment actually dropped by .1% this week! Watch for a little jump next month, when the numbers are adjusted. In fact, actual unemployment, using traditional measures, may actually be as much as 16%.

He SAVED General Motors! By abrogating bankruptcy law and handing over control of GM to the very people that destroyed it.

He's getting us out of the Iraqi QUAGMIRE! Or, is he simply taking credit for the blood and dedication of thousands of American troops, who did their jobs despite Obama's declarations of defeat. Obama had nothing to do with Iraq and has had no part in its success. He's simply taking the bow for hard dirty work that thousands of others have done in spite of his efforts to make it fail. Screw him, and screw you.

He's putting the fight to Al-Quaeda in Afghanistan. Sure he is. Unfortunately, it's the Taliban that were fighting. What he doesn't know about global warfare is about at your level.

He reversed the stock market slide -- that was caused by Bonnie Fwank and the rest of the Congressional rats that gutted the mortgage industry's lending standards. Thanks a lot. I suspect, however, that Wall Street, the perfect discounting machine, is merely sensing a change in the balance of power at the end of next year. The market has a way of anticipating these things. 8 years of spittle-spewing, Nazi-alluding, swastika drawing far out far left goofballs, including 16yos, didn't prevent the Democrats from gaining victory in 2006 and 2008. Why would that affect the Republicans chances in 2010 and 2012?

Obamacare doesn't need one single Republican vote to pass. If it fails it won't be because of the Republicans in Congress, it will be because a bunch of Democrats voted against it too. Obviously the protestors will have had an effect.

By the way SAUD, the country is also watching how Obama and the Democrats are responding to the protests. There is a lot to be worried about there.

Just caught a bit on MSNBC. It seems the administration has done a little polling and found out older folk generally like their Medicare. So they said to tell people that the government plan would be like Medicare for forty or fifty year olds. They really said that.

Being realistic, Medicare as we now know it will have to change because it is economically unsustainable. But, the government plan as outlined in HR 3200 is the OPPOSITE of what happens under Medicare. Under Medicare if a doctor (often with a second opinion) says that a Medicare patient needs a form of treatment then the patient almost always gets the treatment. The new system will have some 'neutral' board or panel determine if the patient is WORTH treating. Yes, the government will determine if you are worth treating.

If you ever watch a video of a pride of lions eating you will notice the order of service. The strong males get the best and most, the prime aged females most of the rest, and the old and very young make do as best as they can. It IS a very efficient system, but it is not fair or equitable in any way that most people view fairness. Socialists have always sneered at capitalists for believing in the law of the jungle, but when they (socialists) get their chance for the big change, they institute something far more sinister.

This is just the very early signs of that something is horribly wrong with the political leadership in this country. When the President advocates to his minions and labor union thugs "If you get hit, we will punch you back twice as hard." and they go out and attack people with dissenting views then this is devolving into open warfare, ie... civil war.

When politicians advocate the open suppression of dissenting opinions by using force. When they refuse to speak to the issues and concerns of the populace and hide. When they only speak only to carefully selected audiences or 'phone it in' and use screened questions. When they fail to actually listen, then it is not representative democracy but is in fact a rule by force of the majority.

The very last thing the President who vowed to be 'uniter' should ever do is advocate violence.

I suspect that the 2010 elections are going to make 1994 look like a spring picnic in the park with white doves flying about.

The Denver Post has a non-political quickie poll on their website, and the results were eye opening: less than 3% actually support the bill. 61% voted to let the current marketplace work it out, meaning no government interference in our personal lives at all, and 34% oppose the "public option" but are receptive to a less intrusive reform. Less than 1% have no opinion on the subject.

All political bullshit aside, a couple of things really stand out:

1. Americans have made up their mind, and it strongly opposes ObamaCare.

2. Denver supported Obama in the last elections. 95% of the people who responded oppose Healthcare Reform Whether You Like It Or Not. That means that almost half of these people are Democrats.

3. Washington apparently is clearly deluded about the opposition to this bill. This goes way beyond tone deaf and approaches incompetence.

"You once ate civil rights for breakfast, now you're all about free speech."

The KKK was a Democrat institution - as well as slavery, Dickhead. I'll never understand why blacks fail to see that Democrat giveaways are just a method of controlling them and keeping them voting on the Democrat plantation.

apb, did you know that there was a U.S. History 102? It doesn't just at 101, which is apparently where you education does.

When the dems pushed through civil rights in the 60s, the Southern states switched OVERFUCKINGNIGHT to Republican. So if you want to hang racism around a party's neck . . . start there.

Since you brought it up, dimwit, who is the highest elected black in the GOP? House? Senate? Governors? Lt. Governors? School Board?

Answer, please?

Dickman and Saud,

I have a question for you both:

Why are you here?

You never post anything remotely resembling substance toward what is actually discussed.

Do you just hate other people, and want to share that hatred?

Your mental fragility is on full display whenever someone posts anything in opposition to your Savior. While the majority of the other commenters, whether they agree or disagree, try to add something meaningful and of substance to the discussions which arise out of the posts here, you just attack. When it comes to criticism of your Dear Leader, you belch up nothing but whining, twisted takes on the facts of the situation being discussed, or you resort to making fun of someone's screen name. ("Shallow." That's just so clever! At least we know you possess the intellect of a third grader, since that is probably the first time I ever heard that.)

I know Dickman has been a troll around here for some time now, but Saud, you are a fairly recent addition to the zoo. You do remind me of "VPB" from Kos.

One last thing:

"Shallow, for god's sake, have some dignity. Let your minions defend your drivel in the forum. Don't drop down below the line and reply to attacks on your sophomoric cut-and-paste homework essays that you post here. That's for your follower(s) to do.

Let your posts stand on their own, lest you snivel."

-Dickman

Will you show some of this "cut-and-paste" material?

And as far as my commenting here, I'll write whatever I want in response to bullshit like yours.

I'd take JC Watts or Gary Franks over the Jug-Eared Douche any day. Might toss in the appointment of Clarence Thomas to really rile up racist vermin like yourself.

Did you flunk that advanced history course you took? The Democrats attempted to filibuster passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The only reason the bill passed was because of Republican support. On the final version passed by the House, 80% of the GOP voted in favor, but only 63% of the Democrats. 78% of the votes against the bill in the Senate were by Democrats; 72% of the votes against the bill in the House were by the Democrats.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act_of_1964

As to elections, although the mid-south states went for Nixon in 1968, the Deep South states went for Wallace, a Democrat running as an independent. All the southern states went for Nixon in 1972, but so did all the other states, just about. All of the southern states went for Carter in 1976. The southern states went for Reagan in 1980, except Georgia, of course.

So, that's 16 years after the 1964 Civil Rights Act for the south to go to the GOP. Not exactly overnight.

History is fun! It's even more fun when you have some idea of what you're talking about!

Why is it every time the 1960s civil rights thing comes up, the libs are quick to blame the Republicans? It seems to me that it was not the Republicans, that filibustered the bill in the Senate for several days. The leaders of the filibuster were all white Southern Democrats -- lead by Albert Gore Sr -- who did not want to change the status quo. It took the Republicans, led by Barry Goldwater, to break the filibuster and ensure final passage. Lyndon Johnson even threaten to veto this legislation if it came to his desk. Fortunately there were enough votes (all Republican with enough Dems) to make it veto proof, so Johnson had no choice.

No, SAUD. The turning point is when Obama acts boorish and stupid and loses it. Which he has.
