Want To Neuter The Obama Agenda? Biden Provides A Roadmap

Good 'ol Joe... From Karen Travers at ABC:

Vice President Joe Biden said today that if Democrats were to lose 35 House seats they currently hold in traditionally Republican districts, it would mean doomsday for President Obama's agenda.

Biden said Republicans are pinning their political strategy on flipping these seats.

"If they take them back, this the end of the road for what Barack and I are trying to do," the vice president said at a fundraiser for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) today in Greenville, Delaware.

Republicans need to pick up 40 seats next November to take back control of the House.

I sports, that's what you would call a locker room quote. That's one to pin up on the locker room wall to be read by all for added motivation...

The really humorous part is that later in the article Biden then predicts that if by some miracle Democrats aren't slaughtered in the mid term elections a new era of bipartisanship will blossom.

Yeah, right...

Hopefully the country will have learned the lesson of what happens when liberal socialist, statists run the Congress and the W.H. Let's also hope there are enough conservative candidates if elected that won't compromise with the left in the spirit of "bi-partisanship". There will be a lot of damage done by Obamalala and it will take a lot of juevos to stand against his agenda and reverse his policies.

I supported Toomey in the primary against Specter in 2004. I think what transpired showed that I was right in that situation. We've got to be wise as serpents, it is not a time to be stupid. There are real consequences from losing the last election that some thought would be okay to "teach Republicans a lesson" -- hope you saw the "Valley that Hope Forgot" Hannity show this week. To answer your question: I'm not compiling a list of 'bedrock' conservatives for you to use in a hyperbolic scenario. This isn't a game. National politics are a low priority for me. Bob Bennett(R)is up for re-election in my district. He's done everything he can to give amnesty to illegals and he is dying to gt on the bipartisan healthcare compromise ( http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1282/is_7_60/ai_n26670081/ ). My only question since Hillary first made healthcare an issue has been: Why is healthcare Washington's job? You vote for who you want, but I know there's only one way to boil a frog. And I don't care who's turning up the heat, be it (D) or (R), I'm slapping the hand on the regulator, and I'm slapping it hard. I am QC for the Republicans. If they don't get their act together, I want them to keep getting rejected until they get it right. It's not just the Democrats that are marching us to socialism, they're just making better time.

One or two election cycles of not rewarding the Republicans for their bad behavior would wake them up. But, your assertion is that we must perpetually voting in Republicans merely by criteria of the (R) behind their name is the answer? Your strategy of voting for the lesser of two evils is precisely what has placed us in this position of both parties growing our government, albeit one at a slightly faster pace. I'm not smart? Perhaps, but I wouldn't advise throwing any stones. Although I'm not expecting sheep to behave any differently than their nature allows. Go back to sleep now. It's just a bad dream.

It sounds to me that Biden is intentionally leaking information, as to insite people to remove the dems in 2010. It's much like the remark he made about Obama before the elections - you know the comment that he believed that Obama was bad for National Security and that he imagined that terrorist nations would test the Pres in the first 6 months. I am not so sure that the VP truely likes Obama, and in fact I am sure that Biden only joined the ticket to ensure his own future agenda to get into the White House. I think he's using Obama as a stepping stone. By being obvious about how many seats the Dems could lose in order to neuter their agenda, it's my believe that Biden wants to derail his own administration's agenda.
