Peggy Noonan opines on Obama's "It's not my fault" routine, and says it is getting old:
At a certain point, a president must own a presidency. For George W. Bush that point came eight months in, when 9/11 happened. From that point on, the presidency--all his decisions, all the credit and blame for them--was his. The American people didn't hold him responsible for what led up to 9/11, but they held him responsible for everything after it. This is part of the reason the image of him standing on the rubble of the twin towers, bullhorn in hand, on Sept.14, 2001, became an iconic one. It said: I'm owning it.
But alas, the president doesn't relish this new-found responsibility. Noonan continues:
The president doesn't seem to like this moment. Who would? He and his men and women have returned to referring to what they "inherited." And what they inherited was, truly, terrible: again, a severe economic crisis and two wars. But their recent return to this theme is unbecoming. Worse, it is politically unpersuasive. It sounds defensive, like a dodge. The president said last week, at a San Francisco fund-raiser, that he's busy with a "mop," "cleaning up somebody else's mess," and he doesn't enjoy "somebody sitting back and saying, 'You're not holding the mop the right way.'" Later, in New Orleans, he groused that reporters are always asking "Why haven't you solved world hunger yet?" His surrogates and aides, in appearances and talk shows, have taken to remembering, sometimes at great length, the dire straits we were in when the presidency began.
This is not a sign of confidence.
Funny that Obama has a problem with accepting responsibility, when he relentlessly lectures the rest of us about ......responsibility. It's his mantra.
But I suppose that advice is for us, not for Him?
Obama, quit whining about:
Bush/Cheney/Beck/Hannity/Palin/
TeaPartiers/WaffleEatingInterrupts/
Insurance Companies/Talk Radio/ and so on......
You asked for the job.

Obama doesn't seem to have ANY problem taking credit for anything GOOD that happens, however.

House-Painter [whining]: "But it's not PAINTED!"
Home-owner: "You're fired!"
Sadly, we have to wait 3+ more years to FIRE this whiner!

Why exactly did he run for President then?
Did he honestly believe it would be as easy as community organizing?
Problem for Obama is that this is the first time in his life he's not receiving accolades for simply being Obama.
A lot of his critics think he's in over his head. The worry is that he's starting to wonder about that also. The tragedy is that it wasn't considered before the election.

There's Obama, busily mopping away...
...with the wrong end of the mop.
"It's Bush's fault that the stick keeps sliding across the floor!"
Meanwhile, there are still plenty of Democrats who are still blaming Bush for putting the yarn on the wrong end of the handle.

They gave the man a hammer on their way out of office to fix the problems that they had left.
He took the hammer and suddenly everything looked like a nail.
However he began pounding away on those nails with the wooden end and began whining that it kept bouncing off instead of driving them home.
So he got the broom (stimulus) out of the closet and tried to sweep most of the nails under the rug to deal with later. Only the broom knocked over the water cooler and spilled into everything.
So now there were nails (problems) and water (stimulus money) all over the place and he has to grab the mop to clean it all up.
Inexperience is rearing its ugly head, this guy shouldn't be making minimum wage let alone half a mil per year for doing such a crappy job of making the problems worse.

"" .... what they inherited was, truly, terrible ... ""
Are you kidding?
What they "inherited" was a the machinery and the power of the federal government of the greatest nation there has ever been and/or can ever be!
That they were (at least by those of their supporter/"electors" who were not retarded, were not criminal aliens and/or mean-spirited and/or pathologically greedy and/or were not felons and/or were neither fascists nor crypto-fascists: IE, were not members of the "Democratic" Party's "base") expected to employ that machinery and that power to clear away the wreckage and detritus of a monetary mess created (by themselves and by other corrupt-"Democratic" Party apparatchiks and cronies) before they arrived.
And were expected to employ that machinery and that power to continue to fight-to-win the Democratic-Party/United-Nations Joint-Venture Iraq War and to employ that machinery and that power to confront and to deal with an Iran/Islamanazi-terrorist-troubled world whose roots lead right back - via Foggy Bottom's brahmanas and via the likes of Jamie Gorelick and the rest of the recidivist, treasonous, lying, looting, thieving, co-serial-rapist Billy-Bubbah Blythe Gang, to that worst-to-date of all of the many modern traitor/"Democrats:" the gormless Jimmah Cartah.
