Posts like this could use a bit more context, such as the name of the person (Pat Condell), a bit of bio (British commentator widely seen on the web via his YouTube videos) and most well-known public policy positions (critic of religion, participant in Blasphemy Challenge).

Obama has just declared an H1N1 flu national emergency. Hang on to your hats, people. Who knows what's next.

Hopefully there are enough checks and balances within the US to prevent the ONE from eventually declaring Marshall law

Causative or simply coincidence: the thinness of Obama's skin and that of Islam to critism of their ideologies? You be the judge.

I've seen some of vanderleun's earlier stuff, and he generally makes pretty good sense.
On the other hand, from Breitbart, today:
"The White House Friday highlighted a new multi-million-dollar technology fund for Muslim nations, following a pledge made by President Barack Obama in his landmark speech to the Islamic world.
"The White House said the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) had issued a call for proposals for the fund, which will provide financing of between 25 and 150 million dollars for selected projects and funds. "
Aw, hell. What's another half billion?

Of course if vanderleun really wanted to tell the truth he would see that what's happened in Europe and what he's worried about happening in the U.S.A. is not caused by Islam, but by progressive liberalism. The threat vanderleun is afraid of is Islam imposing it's religion on people the way godless progressives have been imposing their religion on people for a long time.
As I've said before, progressivism destroys the environment it flourishes in, which vanderleun is now coming to understand to his dismay.

I bet he can't wait to see the 'right' or anyone critical of his policies be shut up, but when the talking is silenced then it gets ugly.

Hey, Rick, thanks for the link.
For others above, I'd point out that it's not "vanderleun" that's speaking but pat condell, from England.
Interestingly enough, just before I caught this item one of my readers sent me his "condensed" version of the above which is focused on the items of direct interests to Americans and runs a little under 2 minutes.
I've put it up at

That way you can listen to the condensed version three times in the time it takes to hear this once!
Hey, if it's worth doing it's worth overdoing!

Pat Condell. That's it. Sorry. Old-timer's disease, I guess.
Anyway, kudos for a nice website, and thanks for correcting the error.
