It's official: Political Correctness led to the deaths at Fort Hood

Via The Blotter:

U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan tried to make contact with people linked to al Qaeda. It is not known whether the intelligence agencies informed the Army that one of its officers was seeking to connect with suspected al Qaeda figures, the officials said.

Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-MI), the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, said that he requested the CIA and other intelligence agencies brief the committee on what was known, if anything, about Hasan by the U.S. intelligence community, only to be refused.

In response, Hoekstra issued a document preservation request to four intelligence agencies. The letter, dated November 7th, was sent to directors Dennis Blair (DNI), Robert Mueller (FBI), Lt. Gen Keith Alexander (NSA) and Leon Panetta (CIA).

Hoekstra said he is "absolutely furious" that the house intel committee has been refused an intelligence briefing by the DNI or CIA on Hasan's attempt to reach out to al Qaeda, as first reported by ABC News.

"This is a law enforcement investigation, in which other agencies--not the CIA--have the lead," CIA spokesman Paul Gimigliano said in a response to ABC News. " Any suggestion that the CIA refused to brief Congress is incorrect."

PC kills... and we have an Administration that puts PC-ness on the top of their agenda.

More deaths to follow.

Does a number of politicans have to be victims, before they realized the danger? Are the rest of us (especially our service people) so unworthy and expendable that p.c. comes first and foremost.

I am so angry over this, if it was some I knew who was killed I don't know what I would do.

Will the wounded and the families be able to sue?

And anyone who claims this wasn't an act of a islamic terrorist or p.c. wasn't involved is nothing more that an idiot.

I would not think for one minute that Muslims can't serve honorably in our armed services. I know that many have and many will in the future, I have read the stories of the help and insight that Muslins have given on and off the battle field when fighting with us.

I also believe that Muslims serving in the armed forces could be a special target for those who want to destroy this country. Radicals who want to and try to convert military personnel against the country are high on the radical list. SO WE MUST BE CAREFUL AND MONITOR THOSE WHO SEND UP RED FRAGS. This guy clearly did, and should have been brought to the attention of General Casey. He was not. this is not an indictment of all Muslims, but a recognition that there are many who want to radicalize some if they could, and we must be vigilant always.

Mohammad Atta was in attendence at the US Army's International Officers' School. Later spotted on Republican leg man Jack Abramoff's Suncruz mafia gambling boat off the Florida coast.
Other 9/11 conspirators attended US Army language programs on-base. All were being sheperded by various redundant FBI "offices".
Bin-Ladin was a paid CIA operative known personally by GHW Bush since the 1970s.

The anthrax attacks were traced to Fort Detrick, MD.

In the 1990s, Timothy McVeigh volunteered for an Army Intelligence role and became a patsy for ATF terrorism "drill gone awry", a'la Navy Intelligence man L.H. Oswald and a secret service "sting" in 1963.

But back to now: GW Bush is slowly moving his furniture to his vast estates in Paraguay. Which are guarded by the US Army in a series of "camps", btw.

As for the latest Ft Hood events, things always come out in the wash though seldom if ever officially "confirmed", but the strictly partisan reader will keep adding bleach anyway til the threads themselves dissolve into comfortable myth, he hopes.

Fort Hood gunman had told US military colleagues that infidels should have their throats cut - Telegraph

Fellow doctors have recounted how they were repeatedly harangued by Hasan about religion and that he openly claimed to be a "Muslim first and American second."

One Army doctor who knew him said a fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim soldier had stopped fellow officers from filing formal complaints.

Another, Dr Val Finnell, who took a course with him in 2007 at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Maryland, did complain about Hasan's "anti-American rants." He said: "The system is not doing what it's supposed to do. He at least should have been confronted about these beliefs, told to cease and desist, and to shape up or ship out. I really questioned his loyalty."
Ah, the wonders of poltical correctness. If you're travelling by air, we have a culture that insists someone with an Arabic background be treated no differently than a 90 year old grandma in a wheelchair, so BOTH have to go through an annoying security process.

But no, we musn't discriminate. Or be at all suspicious of anyone, anywhere, no matter what they do.

So let me get this straight. You go from a claim by a Representative, that he was denied a briefing, which the CIA denies, to PC caused the massacre? Beyond that, it was wrong for Pelosi to accuse the CIA of lying, but now it's ok to accuse them of lying? Does no one else see a double standard here?

Either the CIA is lying about refusing the briefing, or the Representative is lying. Given the choise, I will always pick the CIA on these matters. The CIA has stated unequivocally that "[a]ny suggestion that the CIA refused to brief Congress is incorrect." So which is it? Are they lying, or is the Representative lying? And if the CIA is lying, how is it that PC caused the massacre?

Given the PC culture in his chain of command, I will not be surprised (saddened though) if they were informed by intelligence, and failed to act.

As for US troops in Paraguay guarding Bush Country, Paraguay is in thrall to US interests, so there's a dearth of real time info on the subject. But US began a military presence in-country in parallel with Jenna Bush visiting Paraguay under dreaded UN auspices. So "the children" covers for narcotics "interdiction", and both cover for Bush investment query in Paraguay.

Rance was stating where PC came into effect and one place where it might have occurred. Sounds like you are saying that if PC caused problems in three areas they must be closely interconnected. Rance never said that and logically it is simply not true. All three of those areas you stated would be a problem. That doesn't mean the Officer he encounter are at fault for the Intel PC problem or vice versa.

Let's assume for argument sake they were. What does someone attending one of our military schools matter? In the Army we use to joke about training them so we could kill them. Actually most the international students were pretty cool. The ones from Swaziland were a hoot but we had a few who we could have done without.
