Back in 2007, my wife was tired and did not want to cook a big turkey dinner for Thanksgiving.
"No problem," I said. "I've got it covered."
Well, on the plus side it was the talk of the neighborhood for quite a while.
[ disclaimer - the above-mentioned event never actually happened, but my wife assures me that if I were to actually try making Thanksgiving dinner on my own, it would ]

I cook ninety percent of everything my family eats. It makes it easy to get exactly what I want, and I enjoy it. Today is a team effort though. I am in charge of Christmas dinner.

DJ,
I did all the cooking through 3 marriages. I'll do it in the 4th - I may be old but I haven't learned much. Women, unlike men, are not perfect. They have pluses and minuses. Being an excellent cook gives me a wild card - like does she own a liquor store?

There are Youtubes of folks actually deep frying turkeys that weren't thawed. It IS life threatening, and it looks similar to your photo above.

LOL! Thanks for the Thanksgiving laugh, DJ. If it is not cooked on the grill, bbq or smoker, I'm dangerous in the kitchen as well.

Since retiring (and Momma still working), I cook 4 days out of the week. The other three days, I rest.

I made the microwave popcorn and she opened the wine. We believe in a team effort too.
