Imagine if the players were reversed. Imagine this wasn't the New Black Panthers, it was the KKK instead. Imagine this wasn't Barack Obama and Eric Holder, but George Bush and John Ashcroft.

Do you think the media would ignore a story where John Ashcroft dismissed charges of voter intimidation against KKK members? Do you think the media would ignore a story where the Attorney General refused to respond to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and ignored a subpoena?

If the players were reversed, the media would be all over this and the Democrats would be calling for impeachment proceedings.

And you know what, they would be right. This is serious stuff being done. Dismissing the prosecution of voter intimidation against your opponent, ignoring subpoenas and ordering DOJ employees to ignore subpoenas in violation of Federal Law seems to me to fit the definition of High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

This administration is failing at every turn and yet these obots continue to not only support him they justify the actions. I am ashamed for these idiots.

That 1951 ruling involves competing statues, since both the Civil Rights Commission was created by statue and the rules of the DOJ are covered by statue, the DOJ is claiming that their rules statue overrides the statue requiring them to cooperate with the Civil Rights Commission.
