"You have my disgust and disdain forever, you socialist-coddling coward."

Dr. Becky F. Hollibaugh in an open letter to Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson:

Dear Senator Nelson:

I send this message under "Tort Reform" because the current monstrosity you have pledged your support to says nothing whatsoever about Tort Reform. You have sold the physicians of Nebraska for zilch (zilch for us, but beaucoup federal bucks for you and the liberal partisans in this state). As a family practice physician in Small Town, Nebraska, I was counting on you to be the lone voice of Democratic sanity on this issue, but you sold me out. I will dedicate
every spare minute of my time and every spare dollar I have to defeating you, should you run for re-election. The long hours I spent on my medical education and the long hours I spend treating my patients are nothing but chump change to you and your Democrat colleagues in Washington. I especially can't wait for your equivocation and milquetoast evasion when your "compromises" on the abortion language in the bill are silently erased or quietly (on-little-legislative-cat's-feet) eviscerated in the House/Senate give-and-take. Go on: Bet me that you won't wuss-out on this issue!

I know you won't give two-seconds to this letter, but I had to write it. I'm a primary care doctor in YOUR state, and you sold me out. I didn't slog through 4 years of college and 4 years of medical school and 3 years of residency just to have you hand my career and my patient/doctor relationships over to government lifers. Your gutless acquiescence to Obama and Harry Reid and 'Nanny' Pelosi will NOT be forgotten.

Thank you, Ben, for forcing doctors like me to earn less than the repairmen who fix our appliances. Case in point: We recently had our dishwasher fixed. The repairman who came to our house charged $65 just to come and 'diagnose' the problem, then charged another $180 to 'fix' the problem. You and your fellow lawmakers have fixed MY going rate (Medicare) at $35 per-visit. Thank you for securing such a 'lucrative' rate for me! Thank you so much for making me-someone with 8 years of education!-make less than a mechanic or appliance repair technichian. And thanks especially for falling in line with Obama and the rest of the Democrats to make such a socialist system permanent.

You have my disgust and disdain forever, you socialist-coddling coward.

Sincerely,
Becky F. Hollibaugh, D.O.

Buckeye:

Dr, your income will be further diminished as we the patients are required to see a Physician's Assistant rather than a real Dr. Some health plans already require this. There is no choice, you go where they tell you or you do not go.

We will never be able to throw this regime out until we deal with Acorn and SEIU. They should not be allowed to rush in and dump trunkloads of registrations in the voting booth at the last minute. If the registration can not be validated in time for an election then the applicant should have to wait until the next time around to vote.

Why are suprised a democrat senator sold out? How long will the "deal" he made for Nebraska last after he leaves office? He will sell out over any kind of abortion language as well when it is removed. Selling out is what democrats do. They only have principles during elections, in between they will do whatever they are told.

Adrian, the truth of the matter includes that most private insurers (a breed to become rare in the next decade if there are no changes to the current Congress's trends) follow Medicare trends; that there is LETHAL government interference in the practice of medicine in Somalia, and that you are an all too excellent example of the arrogant toadies so enthralled with ideology that you can't make a coherent one-sentence comment to support your position.

You might also try asking Medicare patients in your area if they've had any trouble finding competent and experienced physicians taking new Medicare patients. I my remote area, touted as one of the best ten places to retire, there's a 4-6 mo waiting list for new Medicare patients at all local practices but my FQHC. We get "enhanced" reimbursement for these patients, so we can afford to take them.

WorldCitizen:

Only a liberal would use government run health care. Any conservative knows that the government can't run anything better than the private sector and relying on or even just using Medicare props up a corrupt government program and a system that encourages laziness.

Dr. Hollibaugh should stop wasting her time treating lazy liberals who need government subsidies and concentrate on treating the self sufficient conservatives that can pay her an adequate fee for services rensdered. There is really no point in servicing the health care needs of people who continually drain the resources of those around them. Taking from the responsible and giving to the idle masses that contribute nothing to society.

P.S. Nobody is forcing her to deal with Medicare or the insurance industry. Those of you who are for letting market forces work things out should advise the good Dr. to set her own prices. If she is good enough she will have patients. Tell me why free enterprise should not prevail?

bobdog:

Ben Nelson reminds me of an old joke that ends with "We've already established what you are, madam. Now we're simply negotiating the price."

There was a WSJ editorial today that pointed out just how narrow the vote really was.

It hinged on Stuart Smalley (D-MN), swept into power by unanimous vote of Democrat judges over Norm Coleman.

And the recently seated junior Senator from Massachusetts, appointed by their Democrat governor after the Democrat legislature changed the law to avoid the inconvenience of a special election to replace the late Senator Kennedy.

And Roland Burris, appointed by indicted ex-Governor Blagojevich as his parting insult before he left office.

And Mary Landrieu, who sold her vote to Harry Reid for $300 billion of our money.

And Ben Nelson, who sold his vote and his right to argue any issue on moral ground forever to Harry Reid for a permanent government Medicaid subsidy in perpetuity.

Somehow, I don't think this is what our founders had in mind. If this is representative government, just who are these career politicians representing?

1) Yes, Nelson got his thirty pieces, but
2) Lieberman voted yes on cloture, and 3)Can we thank the fine citizens in the state of Minnesota that elected the idiot commedian?

My point is, Reid was prepared months ago to pay-off two or three Senators no matter what the cost---think open taxpayer checkbook---either with cash, current legislation in the bill, or future considerations. My guess is, if Reid still needed "just one more vote", he still had Collins or Snowe on standby. The folks in Maine must be pissed today that Nelson got the biggest payday, while their elected cronies were left holding an empty bag.

And you, dear zaugg, have my thanks and my support.

For we Sovereign Americans are well invested in the Second American War of Independence and will never, never never surrender.

The fascists facing us had best be reminded we outnumber them better than ten to one. And, having more to lose and more to fight for, are both better motivated -- and if it comes to it -- WAY better armed.

Too bad for most of those opposed to our beloved fraternal republic that none is educated nor knows that in all of Human history there has never been a more relentless nor a more ruthless foe than an aroused America. Not in times past and not today. There is no enemy on Earth, foreign or domestic, who could stand two months against our projected might. And before getting too cocky, 0zero and his fellow fascists aught contemplate Lexington and Concord, Yorktown and Trenton and Sharpsburg, Bull Run, Antietam and Gettysburg and Dresden and Berlin, Tokyo, Okinawa, Hiroshima and Nagasaki -- and review the cold war's outcome once Ronald Wilson Reagan so firmly placed America's stamp on it.

We Sovereign Americans don't lose.

And, while talking of Sovereigns, the fascists had best also mind the admonition that if one intends to kill the king, he had better bloody-well kill the king!
