A Minneapolis Star-Tribune article just out says that the tests Rush underwent after being rushed to the hospital for chest pains came back normal. There isn't anything wrong with him:
Conservative talk radio show host Rush Limbaugh said Friday that tests show nothing wrong with his heart after chest pains hospitalized him earlier this week.Limbaugh said at a Honolulu news conference that he was being released from The Queen's Medical Center, where he was rushed Wednesday during a vacation. Doctors said he did not have a heart attack or heart disease.
"The pain was real, and they don't know what caused it," Limbaugh said.
Thank goodness for that. There's a good possibility he was experiencing severe stress or possibly a bad case of heart burn. Either way, I am thankful he's healthy. We need his voice and leadership, now more than ever.
The lefties who were hoping he would die will be sorely disappointed.
Update: Rush gave a press conference at the hospital earlier this afternoon. Jim Hoft has video.

My father had 2 heart attacks, one at 38 years and the other at 46 years of age. Years later when they did an angiogram they could find no damage to his heart from those attacks. It appears they were 'merely' ischemic attacks brought on by stress. Here's hoping that Rush's issue is similarly benign.
My sympathies to the leftists who will be severely disappointed by his survival.

Steve, You're missing the most obvious of points in that Rush is a conservative and not a Republican. Like most conservatives (including those here) he has no problem giving sharp and stinging criticism to Republicans when they are not acting in accordance with conservative values.
McCain has been criticized by many conservatives and the primary reason that he did as well as he did in the last election was not due to his moderate views that pleased the media, but the presence of Palin on the ticket, which energized conservative voters.
If you ever bothered to read posts here you would find criticism of McCain, Steele and other GOP leaders for being inept and clueless in addition to being pseudo-conservatives more interested in media acclaim than actually advancing conservative principles and benefiting the nation.

Ironic that Rush, whom everyone on this site has suddenly developed so much sympathy and respect for,-it wasn't always so- calls his medical care at Queen's Center, Honolulu the "best the world has to offer," the same hospital that was ground zero, as part of the alleged Obama coverup, in the birther's conspiracy, promoted unstintly by Rush.
You remember when the tasteless and graceless Rush, more than implied that Obama wasn't going to Honolulu, at the end of the campaign, for the purpose of seeing his dying grandmother but to maufacture a birth certificate; because Obama according to the birthers' and (Rush's) "rationality, reality, and common sense", was really born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii. By the same perverse logic, perhaps Rush is now really being treated in Kenya, and not Hawaii or the Queen's Center, after all?

Around the end of the '80s, I began suffering severe chest pains; the first time resulting in a trip to the emergency room, fearing a heart attack.
They found nothing wrong with my heart, but diagnosed "gastric distress", and maybe an incipient ulcer.
The pains recurred, off and on, for TWO years, usually after eating anything that had various fats in it (which I tried to avoid, to not much avail).
One day, when going to the local clinic for relief, the doctor I usually saw wasn't there, so I saw an intern instead who listened to my description of my symptoms, read my file, and then sent me to a local womens' clinic for an ultrasound scan (which my clinic had not the equipment for).
The result of that scan confirmed his suspicions of gallstones. A surgery was arranged and my gallbladder (which was FILLED gallstones, looking like small gravel) was removed, FINALLY relieving me from intermittent HELL.
What bothered me most about the episode (aside from the pain all that time) was that it took that long to find someone who had a clue as to what to look for. Finding a doctor who knows his stuff appears to be much like finding a really good mechanic, but far more consequential.
I hope Rush has been checked for this possibility.

Personally I'm glad Rush is OK even if I do disagree with him on rare occasions.
I was checked for gallstones several years ago. Didn't find any. Still don't know what caused that pain that made me see the doctor. Gave up bacon wrapped butter. Turkey bacon wrapped margarine is much better for you. Roll it in whole wheat bread crumbs and deep fry in organic canola oil. The new health food!
