Even the Staunchest Supporters of Global Warming Scam Forced to Report on Brutally Cold Winter

Snow in Houston.jpg

The extraordinarily cold start to the winter throughout the nation and much of the entire Northern Hemisphere has left some of the biggest trumpeters of the global warming farce little choice but to actually cover the growing story. Usually, cold outbreaks during the winter cover only a region of the country, but the recent chill has been virtually nationwide. Noontime temperatures on Tuesday hovered in the mid-40s from Tampa across the Gulf Coast all the way to San Antonio. Snow is in the forecast in some parts of Florida later in the week. Virtually every reporting station east of the Mississippi has reported temperatures 15 to 25 degrees below normal this past week and little warming is expected anytime soon.

AccuWeather.com Chief Meteorologist and Expert Long Range Forecaster Joe Bastardi says he believes the next few months are looking very much like a repeat of the infamous winter of 1977-78 that sunk much of the nation into deep freezes for weeks at a time. "It'll be like the great winters of the '60s and '70s," said Bastardi whose employer aggressively pushes the global warming agenda on their website.

It has been most interesting (and mildly entertaining) to see the mainstream media try to ignore the weather. That may be a lot harder to do this winter... and the televised coverage of fans huddled with ear muffs at the Orange Bowl in Miami last night certainly didn't help.

Bastardi is not a global warming kool aid drinker. He is often on Hannity to talk about how ludacris the whole global warming charade is. Even though he works for the accuweather alarmists, he is pretty center right. But, it is refreshing to see that even accuweather is reporting on something they and other MSMers have attempted to ignore. The extreme weather has been headlined on Drudge for a couple days now.

It only became Climate Change when it became apparent nature wasn't cooperating with the Global Warming shtick. Why do you think it's called Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) and not Anthropogenic Climate Change? Al Gore's so-called settled science links CO2 to warming, not cooling. That's why AL Gore says the Earth has a fever, rather than a chill.

Rather than embarrass yourself further, why don't you take your head out of the sand and learn what really drives Earth's climate?

Just a couple of days ago, I saw a news report on the Mountain People of Peru. The repost claims that global warming is the cause of unusually cold temps in Peru. Key excerpt:

"In a world growing ever hotter, Huancavelica is an anomaly. These communities, living at the edge of what is possible, face extinction because of increasingly cold conditions in their own microclimate, which may have been altered by the rapid melting of the glaciers."

There's been too much money invested in and available from this scam. They are not going to let it go.

Weegie:

Well, the only problem with the claim that somehow this very cold winter means that global warming doesn't exist is that it is anecdotal data in nature. The trend is what happens over a period of decades and centuries, not in a single data point winter. Just as the stock market might go down for a day or a week, that doesn't mean the general trend isn't upward.

However, the same holds true for the AGW/CC Warmers' claims. Simply because polar ice might be shrinking, or glaciers melting, or even because the temperature trend might be increasing, or even if the CO2 concentrations are increasing, none of these data offer any shred of proof that man has contributed one BTU to the overall global warming trend. The data only proves a general warming trend - NOTHING else.

So, when the Warmers claim that just because it is cold this winter, that doesn't disprove AGW/CC, you can simply reply that the claim is based on the same logic and proof they offer for AGW/CC. After all, anecdotal evidence is never considered scientific proof.

It has never been Global Warming. It has always been Climate Change. Read a book!

According to this book - IPCC Fourth Assessment Report (AR4)

it says the following:

Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, as is now evident from observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice and rising global average sea level.

I may be some dumb hick with only two advanced degrees but that sure sounds like they are talking about global WARMING.

It is very likely that cold days, cold nights and frosts have become less frequent over most land areas, while hot days and hot nights have become more frequent.

The current cold snap is not regional, it's global. It's being felt all across the U.S., Europe and Asia.

I have finally gotten to the point that I realize I can no longer refute the logic of the global warming scientists. This morning in an article on AOL Daily Finance written by Jonathan Berr I found this gem: " And the cold snap would be worse if not for global warming, says Brenda Ekwurzel, a climate scientist from the Union of Concerned Scientists." Yep, there it is! In essence she is saying that it would be colder if it weren't so warm. Who can argue with impeccable logic.
