Seeing Is Believing

The stunning implosion of President Barak Obama and his once invincible aura is an historic display of an unmasked modern day false profit.

He is revealed to be no more than a jug-eared dufus with each passing day.

His reluctance to get his hands dirty with important matters of national legislation exposes a timid political neophyte, who is scared to deal with issues head on with a sense of personal conviction. The outsourcing of this major legislation to the "F-You, America!" congress has been an error of governmental impotence not seen in recent memory. A $787 billion stimulus bill, which, since enacted, has been followed by double-digit unemployment and continuous monthly job losses in the tens of thousands. All the while, he and his P.R. flaks continue to insist that the economy is on the right track, lying to themselves and the American people, like some massive three-card-monty shyster, screwing us all of our intelligence, integrity, and pocket books.

The train wreck of ObamaCare looks to be a huge, ugly albatross, which is starting to weigh down the necks of the tone-deaf liberal congress, resulting in retirements, diving poll numbers, and political arrogance of the most offensive kind.

His early World Apology Tour has resulted in states like Iran and North Korea flipping him the bird concerning nuclear weapons and terrorism. Afghanistan has tumbled into an undefined slog fest, with Obama sending 30,000 more troops into a theater of war which has no clearly defined objectives.

Regarding the recent spate of terror attempts, his Gitmo policy has devolved into a showcase of weak cave-ins to terrorist propaganda and European scolding.

The inexplicable lack of urgency which Obama displayed following the attempted terrorist attack on Christmas has lead many to wonder whether Obama has mature enough mental and intellectual capacity to comprehend the kind of dangerous world in which we now need to operate. Waiting 3 days after the the bombing attempt occurred, dressed as if he were about to attend a casual cocktail party, commenting as if he were describing a simple traffic delay, then off to another tee-time makes his politically motivated bold speech on the systemic failure of our intelligence community seem forced, amateurish, and desperate.

Obama's explanation that "the buck stops with me" rings hollow when he simultaneously attacks HIS security team, showing he still suffers from "Under the Bus" syndrome.

Instead of recognizing that securing this nation from harm is his highest priority, he resorts to sending out media minions to attack those who dare expose his inadequate leadership skills.

His bumbling Homeland Security director, Janet Napolitano, magnified how incompetent his choice of staff has shown itself to be, making a fool out of the administration with her contradictions that the system was working/not working. His National Counter-terrorism chief Michael Leiter went on vacation with his family the day after the Christmas bombing attempt.

All of these failures in character and leadership serve to amplify that this country is rudderless in a shit-storm of historical proportions.

The elected officials, Obama included, have shown they have not the planning or innovation to improve our situation, nor the inclination to listen to the people who allowed them to take their positions of power.

Only the slow awakening of the people will make it possible for this ship to steady itself and avoid the rocks and shoals which threaten our journey.

This crew needs to walk the plank.

How much longer is the MSM going to cover for Barry? They've already sacrificed ANY CREDIBILITY they had with the public. Their readership/viewing numbers are down because people have better things to do than read puff-piece bullshit. Only ones buying it are the 'true, kool aid drinking believers'.

We're going to do better, but then we'll prosecute any intelligence staffer that does too much or not enough and crucify anyone that lets a terrorist stub their toe while being taken into custody!

Superimpose the reality you and your audience knows with the amount of this reality that the US population segment who actually vote knows. Gut feel from very limited exposure to the lamestream press, physical attractiveness, race and attitude in ads all play a huge role in the vote of many millions. Wish it weren't so. Plot a graph of the economic intelligence of these voters to see what I mean.

It took a "great communicator", a bad economy and a weak incumbent to win the White House in 1980. The margin of popular votes then was less than 8% in 22 states. The difference now is the red states have a great distrust of the republican leadership & representatives. Obvious corruption and abandonment of conservative economics has created quite a mess just when the spotlight gets fixed on the naked emperor.

The obvious solution to throw out the bums might not happen. Especially if the repubs can't muster up a potent enema to cleanse itself first.

Sounds like you don't respect your own president very much, or your legislators either. This is our Commander in Chief, our chief of state, and the latest in a long line that goes back to George Washington. He won the Nobel prize, fer crissake. He's been on the cover of Time Magazine more often than any mortal. He's our first post-racial president. He could beat Stephen Douglas in a debate. He sends a tingle up Chris Matthews' leg. He's been compared favorably to God by Time Magazine.

And you can't show him any respect?

Me neither.

I agree with #12, what do we get if we "throw the bums out" John "Tanning Booth" Boehner, Olympia Snow and the "Maverick" running the show?

I'm so reminded of the Whig party and their refusal to see the anger of the people over the issue of the expansion of slavery and to pick a side, hoping to compromise their way out of the issue and continue the status quo.

The HUGE expansion of government is akin to modern day slavery, whereby the middle-class works almost all year to support the ruling elite. Unless the Republicans Cowboy up and start supporting individual liberties and Conservative principals again I REFUSE to support them.

Only half right, Michael.

I've money on it that the combined weight of his loathsome and fearsome "spouse's" palpable loathing and contempt for him will combine with November's 50-70 seat "Democratic" congressvarmint seat-loss and 15 Senate seats lost by electoral defeat -- or (Mary Landeau, who corruptly stole her "election" from Woody Jenkins) by recall -- will prove to be more than his classical Clinical Narcissism can bear -- and that he will resign by September of 2011.

And I've bet London to a single brick on it!

bobdog:

It Pays To Increase Your Word Power, Part 1675

I know it was just a simple typo, but I got thinking about the distinction between the two terms:

A FALSE PROPHET is a public leader who runs on false emotional appeals to change the world with neither the will nor the ability to make it happen without the use of scapegoats. History from the last century has several examples of this: Hitler did it, Mussolini did it, Castro did it, the Japanese militarists did it, and Hugo Chavez continues this tradition on a daily basis. As I remember my Sunday School lessons, the Bible warned us about worshipping the Golden Ox, Sodom and Gomorrah, and Jesus doing some community organizing with the moneychangers. God has some pretty harsh opinions about false prophets and some rather clear rules on the subject, including, for you legal eagles on the left, a specific mention in the Ten Commandments, as I recall. Not to conflate our current president with the tyrants of the 20th century, Obama does generally fall into this category, which is why conservatives puke at the "Hope and Change" meme. We see it for what it is, largely because we're the scapegoat. It was a lie during his campaign, and it's a lie today. Go back and read up on Hitler's wild popularity in 1938 and the crap he was feeding the German people. Obama's entire campaign was a False Flag attack on the American voter, and he got away with it. We've been paying for it ever since.

A FALSE PROFIT is an accounting term reserved for financial gains paid by corrupt politicians to purchase loyalty, such as the United Auto Workers, the SEIU, the Teachers' Union, the Global Warming Science biz, the banking lobby, Mary Landrieu, Ben Nelson, Christopher Dodd, John Murtha, Richard Daley, Rod Blagojevich, ACORN, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to mention just a tiny fraction of the most recent examples. We see news reports of these stories so often we don't even notice them any more. Unless sex or racism is involved, and then the story gets incessant, 24 hour a day news coverage that never ends.

Feels like I just wrote a filler article for Readers' Digest...
