REPUDIATION!

Obama's been spanked, make no bones about it:

Republican Scott Brown has just won the Massachusetts special election to fill the seat left vacant by the late Sen. Edward Kennedy, the Associated Press is reporting.

...

"Scott Brown's win confirms the serious ramifications that will haunt Democrats all the way to the November elections," National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Texas, said in a statement. "No matter how Democrats want to spin it, there is a movement building in America that threatens their majority in Congress."

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, released a statement arguing that "Massachusetts voters sent a clear message to the nation in favor of fiscal responsibility and checks-and-balances in Washington."

"Even in the bluest of blue states, Scott Brown's message resonated with families, seniors, and small business owners who have rejected President Obama's massive health care takeover and the Democrats' out-of-control spending agenda in Washington," he said.

Obama needs to understand what this means... and adjust his modus operandi...

We are all Massachusettonians!

He thinks it means that he will have to go with 51 votes or have Reid change the rules of the Senate to get healthcare passed.

From the pre-results commentary on the left, it is their MESSAGE that is the problem not their ideology. That is what I predict Obama is telling himself and his people. Hire a new ad agency and pay for a blitz to correct the misguided interpretations of said message.

You know, since the NEA didn't work out so well even if it would have been cheaper.

Oh, those are being composed as we speak. They already made it to MSNBC - Maddow and "The Tingler" Matthews were in fine form on the topic of the "flawed candidate". And that polls showed the Brown supporters loved Obama. And, bizarrely, that this would result in a "more progressive" (i.e. even more criminally insane) Health Care reform bill.

I predict SAUD and Vic will be here very shortly on the topic of poorly run campaigns and "the flawed candidate". Those will be the official talking points. I am sure even they will be unable to make the leap to the blessing in disguise strategy. Green - just cut and paste any previous post, they are all off-topic anyway.

They're out being fitted for a truck with 200,000 miles on the odometer.

At least they would be if they were smart but I ain't betting on that possibility.

Though I agree with GarandFan, I don't think it's only Obama's lack of smarts that will prevent him from understanding what took place.

His ego isn't going to be able to process the fact that this was also a repudiation of his politics.

He'll blame someone.
Always has, always will.
