JC Hammer:

I've read several reports stating the budget will be 100 billion more than last year, but aren't the Afghan/Iraq wars included instead of being supplemental? If that is the case, the budget is actually, using the accounting BS of the Bush years, 50 billion less? President Bush never put the war(s) into the regular budget but always did them as emergency spending, which was off the books. Now, in a fit of honesty -- and forcing Congress to deal with it -- the wars are in the regular budget and all of a sudden the folks who whooped through all the spending are suddenly deficit hawks.

The Republicans all say they don't want to stick future generations with our deficit, but they sure didn't mind sticking it to the people who are cleaning up after they trashed the joint.

Thanks Hammer. In case anyone was wonder what kind of imbicile would support Obama-- now we know. I know you'll need many many clues just to rise to the level of moron, but I'll start you with this one: the Obama deficit is TRILLIONS not billions.

Getting back to the subjust of the thread... Why not just rename the Grand Canyon as the Obama Monument? I know it's too small to really represent the hole that Obama is putting the country and ultimately the whole world in, but at least it wouldn't cost much.

apb:

Sorry JC - your numbers are severely skewed. 2009 budget was $3.1T; 2010 budget is $3.6T.

Iraq was running about $100B /year - discretionary. However, the total deficits during the prior admin (even with 2 years of Dumb-asscrats stinking up the joint) were nowhere near what the Jug-Eared Douche is doing.

You want novel accounting? Try including bogus cap'n'trade income and tax increases (letting the tax cuts expire IS an increase), and the Jug-Eared Douche is still $1.5T+ under water IN ONE YEAR (2010). $3.4T+ underwater in 2 years; far more than 8 years of Bush.

Eh, what the heck - just sounds like you're incapable of learning; why bother?.

how about those Fannie and Freddie bailout dollars in the budget ...

Can't find them ? Thats strange, I'm sure we spent the money it must be there somewhere.

Oh, my bad. Obama decided we don't have to count them because someday they'll pay us back so we don't have to count it. But wait, wasn't TARP a loan program that we have actually gotten paid back large portions of ?
TARP was counted as part of the BAAAAD 1.3 trillion dollar Bush budget for 2009 (fyi the Bush budget for 2009 was never passed by Congress, they did continuing resolutions instead) so shouldn't that be taken off the 1.3 trillion 2009 number ?
I'm confused ...

gee, maybe it has less to do with which party is in the White House and more to do with which party writes and VOTES on the budget. Call me crazy ...

Marc:

jc hammer[head] PSSSST.... TARP is off the budget, not to mention obama wants to use what has been returned [about 200 billion] to fund other things in direct contradiction to the law specified in the TARP bill.

But lets ignore that shall we.

P.S. and need I mention the new budget contains a little thing called funding for cap and trade... i.e. funding for something that hasn't passed and very possibly is stillborn. But hey the economic geniuses in the admin count it as a way to reduce the budget and deficit.

Grifters, one and all.

Even if true, does not deflect from the worst president socialist in chief ever saddling generations with thier debt!!!
