Steve Green,
Here's a novel approach:
- Don't make personal attacks.
- Watch the linked video.
- Discuss the video and post in a civilized manner.
Otherwise, just shut up.

Gee Steverino, Rush became addicted to painkillers to ease severe back pain. He acknowledged that addiction, sought treatment and now lives with the pain rather than the addiction. He very rarely talks about the experience, choosing instead to move on with his life. So I don't quite get the point of your comment.
Oh, wait a minute! Could you be implying that only conservatives should be derided for past addictions while those celebrities with "progressive" ideologies have the right to crow about them and then bore us with their smarmy confessions of sin and redemption in book after book and on talk show after talk show?

Whoa! Pain is a real thing. I was injured working on an OIL RIG in the offshore waters off the coast of Louisiana. I take pain medication because I have to. It keeps me active and If I would not be active I would die. I am in my sixties. I have yet to become addicted. I do not over medicate and never will. Pain medication when used properly works. Unfortunately for some addiction does happen. All in all there is no reason to deny pain medication to those that need it. That is my point of view.

My wife has an auto-immune condition that causes significant pain. Vicodin is what allows her to get out of bed in the morning and function in any way shape or form. She knows she needs to be careful about any other product she takes because of the acetaminophen.
As an adult with a sound mind, she should -no must- be allowed to make a informed decision between the potential risk long term and the quality of life right now.
Of course if the government had not forced Merck to take Vioxx off the market, her pain would be better controlled with less risk to her health.
PS: Steve G - I sincerely hope that you never have a chronic pain condition nor have to watch a loved one with chronic pain. I hope you never have to deal with the consequences of addiction for yourself or a loved one. But I guarantee that if you do, you will regret being such a total ass previously in your life, so until then STFU.

How many folks die from alcohol toxicity on the liver every year? Lets ban alcohol from every medication!
NOT
This is utter BS from the FDA.
Even the Medical Letter is calling Bullshit on the FDA for this. Well, they did in 2002 and again in July 2009. [This is not a new campaign - I suspect someone in the FDA as a career has a bug up their tush about this, and figured if the Bush Administration wouldn't dance with them, that the Obama Admin would] You need a subscription to read them, but they are funded solely by subscriptions, no "Big Pharma money" and are a respected source of drug evaluations.
TO Stevie: Rush's (and Patch's) drug of choice did not contain acetaminophen.

Green,
You are such a predictable, miserable wretch.
Just a snarky little parrot who mimics the likes of Olbermann and Kos since you can't intellectually rise above the level of enraged douche-bag and will never actually have to face the people at which you spew your bile.
Did you even watch the video?
The best you could do to engage Rush Limbaugh is snipe about his narcotic addiction?
I've had three back surgeries in the past 7 months. Without proper pain medication, including anti-inflamatories, narcotics, and oral and epidural steroids, the unrelenting pain would have made a difficult situation all the more traumatic.
Do you hold people who use anti-depressants with the same disdain you do those who require pain medication?
Many, before they took those, lived in nothing less than mental prisons, afraid to do the simplest of daily activities. With these medications, they can actually lead normal, productive lives.
Those bastards.
Fuck the high road.
I hope something bad happens to you where you actually need medication like this.
Getting knocked on your gravel-ass hard enough is the only way an arrogant little hump like you would have a chance at understanding the hardships of others.
By the way, has your bigoted ass come up with an explanation for why you interjected racist comments in my previous post? Or are you still on a permanent pussified filibuster for that one?
How does it feel to be nothing but a God-damned coward?

I beleive this isn't at all about health (liver damage ) it is about forcing those who have a lower quality of life (and are expensive to the Obamacare system to be) to make euthanasia choices now.
People who will aggressively support the killing of infants already born - such as Obama - will gladly support involuntary euthanasia (as is one in eleven of all deaths in Holland and now Quebec is admitting to such evil) Dump God and soon you begin to dump people.

In his/her/its post #2, whatever is a "Steve Green" says that it looks as if Mister Limbaugh is worried.
Now what might Mr Limbaugh be worried about, I wonder.
Could it be the actions and activities of ... say ... the recidivist, treasonous, lying, looting, thieving, perjurious, impeached and disbarred, mass-murdering, serial rapist, vacuum-cleaner nosed cocaine freak Billy-Bubbah Blythes ("Cli'tons") have disturbed him a bit?
Or does his concern descend from the psychotic vanities, insanities and inanities of the coke-headed marijuana-mumbling mobbed-up Mussolini-modeled modified-Marxist murtadd-Muslim multiple mothers' milquetoast, Sayyid Buraq Hussayn 0zero?
Or those of any of the several million the various other criminal aliens, long dead, functionally retarded and/or gutless thugs, mugs, crooks, racketeers and fascists who prefer to be called by their street name: the "Democratic" potty's "base."

Didn't the Feds learn anything from prohibition?
Driving things underground makes it all the more dangerous. People in pain should be able to get pain meds. So what if you have surgery all you get is Motrin 800mg? Fine if that works for you but from a cat that has had 3 major shoulder reconstructions taking narcotics worked.
Plus lets be honest 458 deaths is not a lot considering how man people die from car wrecks by people drunk.
Drugs are here to stay the truth is the feds make billions fighting the so called drug wars.
If the d.e.a is regulating what we get in the form of pain management then we are in trouble because after all the gov. is so affective
