Here's hoping for God's healing presence and a full recovery:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's wife remained hospitalized Friday with serious injuries suffered when a tractor-trailer rear-ended the minivan she and their daughter were riding in on a suburban Virginia interstate, officials said.
Landra Reid, 69, suffered a broken back and neck in Thursday's crash, but her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Mrs. Reid and their daughter, Lana Barringer, 49, were taken by ambulance to Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va. The daughter was released Thursday night, hospital spokesman Tony Raker said.
Mrs. Reid was in serious condition, but Reid aides said she was not expected to require surgery.
"Mrs. Reid has a broken nose, broken back and broken neck," Reid spokesman Jim Manley said in a statement. "Lana has a neck injury and facial lacerations." Manley said Mrs. Reid could feel her extremities.
Virginia State Police said Mrs. Reid and her daughter were traveling northbound on I-95 in stop-and-go traffic when their Honda Odyssey was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer loaded with rolls of plastic. The impact forced the Reid family's minivan to rear-end a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which in turn struck a Chevrolet Cobalt.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, Alan W. Snader, 59, of Ohio, was charged with reckless driving, police said. He was not injured. All involved were wearing seat belts, police said.

Not trying to sound crass but since she is 69 shouldnt they just give her pain pills since studies show that people that age dont recover from breaks of major bones that well. I mean after all that is what Obama suggested for the rest of us.

Thank goodness they had this accident before Obamacare passed. But then again as family of a government official they would not participate in Obamacare, they would actually get treated.
Seriously, I hope they have a swift and full recovery. The fact that Harry Reid is a scumbag is not their fault.
I do, however, find it interesting that they drive a Honda and not a Government Motors car.

Oh, my goodness. I hope she is well, and makes a full and speedy recovery. I pray that Senator Reid will not be unduly troubled by worries over his wife's injuries, and that he may instead devote all his attention to the question of how screwed he is.

I pray for healing and recovery for all of them. I know Senator Reid must be extremely worried and I hope that he can receive comfort in this time.

I'm sure I speak for every taxpayer in America when I say, "Senator Reid, under the circumstances you really need to spend more time with your family."

Ah, #6, My thoughts exactly.
The priorities in my own life are my God, my family, then everything else. I guess Harry Reid is so concerned with the "needs of the American people" (I would call it meddling) that he puts them above the needs of his actual family.
Scumbag, indeed. I would kick his sorry ass to the curb if I were his wife.
