This should hang on walls throughout America

what-change-looks-like.jpg

Coming our way via Andrea Shea King who links to The Logistics Monster who adds:

THIS IS the image of the century to go along with the socialism 'change' that everyone supposedly voted for. I am assuming that this image sums up how most Americans feel right about now when it comes to the disrespect the dictator-in-chief and his motley crew in Congress have shown us and our Constitution.

Not nearly as much as it's going to sting in January, when medical insurance premiums will go through the roof to cover all the giveaways, employers stop providing health insurance due to the cost, our taxes and cost of living triple, and we're all forced into the public option for some Cuban-style medical care. I'm sure you'll still be happy about getting your bill, though.

You know if you describe a Yugo it does not sound like a bad car. Just like picking apart the Husseing care bill. When you see the whole package do you realize it is a piece of shit. Explain, if you can, what the hell an education funding take over of student loans has to do with health care? Further, explain how the federal government loaning money saves as opposed to banks loaning money? Also, explain how federal insurance of a student loan makes the bank a middleman? That is your assignment, Mr Phelps, should you choose to accept it. That is really a mission impossible.

The gist of this article is that "whoops, we accidentally left the provision for children with pre-existing conditions out of the healthcare bill." I say it was no accident at all. As the article says, lawmakers are scrambling to fix this. Let's just see how many additional provisions that they were not originally able to include because of unpopularity (i.e. public funding of abortion) will now be attached to the "kid's healthcare amendment." And of course, opposition to these additional provisions will be quickly labeled as being "opposed to healthcare for sick kids."

You know, much as I don't like Obama - I think this is rather over the line.

Do I think, in essense, he IS giving us the Chicago Salute? You bet. Do I think he's screwed us over financially? Looking at what's been shelled out versus results, it's hard to think otherwise. Do I think he's ignoring the Constitution for all the Hopey-Changey Unicorn crap he wants to institute? You damn well betcha.

We have been well and truely fucked over, and his cheering supporters haven't realized how badly they've been screwed - the bill hasn't reached their table yet. They're expecting a magnificent feast - and with the best of luck they'll be getting lukewarm hotdogs on stale buns. "Whatcha bitchin' about? You're getting fed, ain't ya? Now pay the fuck up!"

Hey, if the unicorns show on schedule there might even be mustard!

But this? Yarg. He IS the President, and the office thereof deserves respect, even if the occupant doesn't. And this is sinking down to the leftie level (although much better done than all the graphics against Bush were) which we don't need to do.

bobdog:

Mr. Lawson, I raised a similar objection last night on another thread and got whacked for it, which kinda puzzled me all day. I've come to realize that people are REALLY pissed at the sheer arrogance of what Congress pulled off this weekend.

I can't remember when so many ordinary people were this insulted over anything that politicians have done, and that includes the partisan bitterness at Bush. It seems to me that the key difference is that this isn't about partisan politics. It's outrage that Congress has completely ignored the unmistakable rejection of this takeover of our health care system in one big power grab. The apparent thinking is that once it's done, we'll just accept this piece of crap. I don't think so.

The story on the news this afternoon is that 10 of our presumably Democrat Congressman have received threats of violence. While I think it's wrong to do that, I was reminded of that Sprint commercial.

You know, "Can you hear us now?"

Mac Lorry:

Charles Krauthammer is predicting that Obama will push for a Value-Added Tax (VAT) after the elections in November. The purpose is to help pay for the national debt, which we all know is unsustainable. The problem is that no amount of money is enough to satisfy congressional spending. Unless there's a constitutional amendment that restricts spending, other than during a time of declared war, we'll end up with both a VAT and a growing national debt.

All the talk of threats to politicians, and the shouting of the "N" and "F" words toward congressmen, are all unfounded accusations put out to the media to try and discredit law-abiding citizens. Democrats are crying in their beer because they know they screwed up by voting for the health care bill that will do nothing less than turn America into a socialistic country. Democrats are making all this up. Pure and simple. On many posts I have made the statement to prove what you say. I guess according to these unpatriotic democrats it is "YOU ARE GUILTY UNTIL YOU PROVE YOU ARE INNOCENT". Typical......Where are the rights of the people accused? Bobdog and Marc -

People ARE pissed, no joke. A guy I work with who was voting for Obama and disagreeing with my thinking on him (that we didn't know enough, and what little we DID know (Annenburg Challenge, Grove Parc) wasn't good - and he didn't have the experience needed) said a few months back "You were right." I haven't seen him lately to ask about this - but he's actually pretty conservative and I don't think the whole HCR thing was setting well with him at all.

But the way to show you're pissed isn't to do up an insulting photo on the internet, or go sling insults on DU or HuffPo. Ignore them - they're irrelevant at this point. They've done all they can, and now the One they so badly wanted is showing how big a mistake he is.

Help out your local tea parties. Help out your local candidate, if you agree with him. Hell, call and write your state rep, urge him to block the health care reform. Make your voice heard - politely.

Maybe THEN we won't have to ask the question "Can you hear us now?"
