When it's about opposing ObamaCare:
A CBS News poll released Wednesday finds that nearly two in three Americans want Republicans in Congress to continue to challenge parts of the health care reform bill.
The Senate version of the legislation was passed by the House Sunday night, and President Obama signed it into law on Tuesday. The House also passed a separate reconciliation bill, which cannot be filibustered, that is now being debated in the Senate. That bill would make changes to the bill already signed into law.
Senate Republicans are now challenging whether the bill is truly a budget reconciliation bill (which is what makes it filibuster-proof) and inserting amendments designed to slow down passage. Republican attorneys general are also planning to challenge the constitutionality of the law.
The poll finds that 62 percent want Congressional Republicans to keep challenging the bill, while 33 percent say they should not do so. Nearly nine in ten Republicans and two in three independents want the GOP to keep challenging. Even 41 percent of Democrats support continued challenges.

Clearly this CBS poll itsel... (Below threshold)1. Posted by Drago | March 25, 2010 12:31 PM | Score: 6 (6 votes cast)
Clearly this CBS poll itself is racist and is responsible for hundreds, if not thousands, of imaginary incidents of "man-caused disasters" against peace-loving democrats.
BTW, has anyone noticed how "in vogue" it is on the left to not call islamic terrorists what they are, "terrorists", but how rapidly the left labels any political dissent against their policies "terrorism"?
Not really strange at all, considering the history of the tactics utilized over the years by our little budding Stalinists on the left.

It's all in how you label things, eh?
2/3 in this country is a LANDSLIDE, and yes, a "clear consensus" when it is in support of anything the Left likes (or against anything they don't).
But 2/3 AGAINST ObamaCare means (from their article): "Americans are divided" on the issue.
If it was 99/1 AGAINST then Americans would still technically be "divided".
It's all SPIN with the media...which is why fewer people trust them every day.

What you need to bear in mind is that for the liberal, conservatives do not deserve full rights and protections and therefore only count as 2/3 of a person. Once you adjust the results of the poll accordingly, you will find that the majority of full persons still believe in Obamacare.
Think I'm being rude? Just consider that Lani Guinier advocated giving minority votes greater weight than white votes in order to increase the influence of minorities in elections. Bill Clinton liked the idea so much that he nominated her for Atty General.

I'm sure Bill Ayers would have no problem sending that 62% to re-education camps.

They do a freakin poll to determine what people should or should not be for or against?
Ridiculous. I suppose the missing 5% voted not "present" out respect for Barry.

No need to oppose Obamacare. Did Bambi look at today's Treasury auction? The Obama administration needs to sell another trillion dollars of bonds this year, and there's fewer and fewer buyers. Social Security goes broke this year, a decade earlier than thought possible. Obamacare will never be funded.

Also noted in today's news: Social Security is officially running in the red as of today. They are paying out more than they're taking in.
And not so incidentally, that occurred 6, count'em... SIX long years before the CBO said it would. And just think millions of baby boomers enter the SS system starting next year and many years after.
Exit question: The spin on poll numbers of those against the health care overhaul has been many of the "against" are those that think obama/pelosi/reid didn't go far enough.
How do they spin 41 percent of the Dems think the repubs should "continue to challenge parts of the health care reform bill?"

You are fools if you think that Obama plans to fund anything by issuing bonds. He knows full well that he can never sell enough bonds to cover his ass.
He plans to monetize the debt. Expect the printing presses to be running full speed by the end of the year.
