NRG/Maariv (Hebrew link only, sorry) reported today that the Israeli government was stunned when every nuclear technician at Israel's Dimona reactor who had submitted visa requests to visit the United States for ongoing university education in Physics, Chemistry and Nuclear Engineering had their visa applications summarily rejected, specifically because of their association with the Dimona reactor.
If this is true and I'm having trouble finding anything but the link in Hebrew to corroborate, the ramifications are huge. And clearly, Obama has turned the concept of friends and enemies on its head.
I think I've had my fill of this sort of hope and change.

UPDATE: From the comments:
English translation of the article from above:Bottom line on this one is that if they were Iranian nuclear scientists Obama would be tripping over himself and bowing to everyone in sight to get them into the US for a conference on nuclear physics.
But because these scientists are Jews he decides to make an international point of humiliating them.
It's because he's a bigot. How else do you explain why he bars scientists from an academic conference?
The money graph:
Israel's Dimona nuclear reactor's employees have told Israel's Maariv daily that they have been having problems recently getting visas to the United States where they have for years attended seminars in Chemistry, Physics and Nuclear Engineering. They also complain of being treated in an 'insulting manner' by President Obama's people. Until recently, employees of the Nuclear Research Center routinely traveled to the United States for seminars and courses. Not good enough just to deny their visas, Obama's people had to be rude and offensive too. That kind of crap comes from the top down.

And with regard to friends and enemies, Obama does not consider our traditional allies as 'friends' since they are democracies and Obama hates democracy. He has been actively driving off all of our allies for the last year. He has been trying to cozy up to thug regimes that in truth reflect what kind of leader he wants to be.

Secondly, there has not been any allegations of misuse here. This is just another anti-Semitic slap at Israeli citizens. Obama likes to consider himself an academic. There is a powerful anti-Semitic influence in academia that has shown itself in attempts to isolate Israeli scientists and punish them for their nationality and religion.
Last, Obama has shown himself an anti-Semite in his dealings with the Israeli government and with palestinians. Obama doesn't need any sham excuse to be rude and offensive to Jews. Nor has he ever thought to excuse or explain his offensive actions. If he were not an anti-Semite and proud of hat fact he would have sought to explain himself in he past.

There is one thing about the Democrats that every voter must understand. When they say "our allies" they're not talking about America's allies, they're talking about the far-left's allies.
And it's not just Obama- it's most of them. John Kerry was another great example of this. The propaganda machine that masquerades as the news networks tried to pass him off as a war hero-- which was true, except they failed to mention the rest of the story, that Kerry was a war hero for the enemy--communist North Vietnam.
When Obama says things like "strengthening ties with our allies", by "allies" he means those who want America weakened, fundamentally transformed to a third world Marxist state, or even destroyed.

Dropping bombs on people is a way of getting around the fact that assassinating people is illegal by US law. There is probably less collateral damage with assassinating individuals and if you're using that narrow criteria assassinating people is probably better than dropping bombs on them.
"Because killing with missiles from drones is less likely to get blood on your hands; doing it personally is just so icky."

I'd prefer if the same hit team that got the Palestinian took out the American, as they have shown that they are remarkably tidy, but if it's a missile that takes him out, that's OK with me. Even if it means some non-combatants also get blown up -- morally, as a target, it's his obligation to keep away from innocents, not hide behind them.

Adrian, We don't use depleted uranium for bombs. It doesn't have any properties that would make it beneficial. We use it for armor piercing ammunition as its density does give it the ability to penetrate most types of armor.
The "depleted" means that it has been depleted of its radioactive isotope, so it cannot leave any radioactivity on the target.

It seems Jake isn't armed very well, either! I'll pass on his take on the Bible, which he clearly hasn't read, because I don't agree with the interpretation some put on the Book of The Revelation.
Russia, however isn't the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics anymore, though: they have become a full-fledged kleptocracy, a virtual recreation of the communists' conception of what capitalism is like. Many of the same people are in charge, but nowadays they aren't content with a few extra privileges, they are stealing billions. The nuclear arsenal hasn't been verifiably maintained since the fall of the Soviet Empire - they just haven't spent the money.
The once-feared Russian Army can't seem to keep a lid on their own rebel province, and their once-vaunted Navy is deteriorating - dare I say "sinking"? - fast. They are no longer the fearsome military which crushed Afghanistan . . .
I know these truths must hurt leftists deeply, since so many of their hopes over the decades have been invested in Moscow, and I'm sorry to be the bearer of the bad news.
Okay, well, maybe I'm not, but I'm trying to be compassionate here, mmmkay?
