Like the millions of citizens who've peacefully risen up and attended thousands of rallies in protest, I seek nothing more than the preservation of the social contract that undergirds our society. I do not hate the government, as the left does when it is not running it. I love this country. And because I do, I insist that the temporary inhabitants of high political office comply with the Constitution, honor our God-given unalienable rights, and respect our hard-earned private property. For this I am called seditious, among other things, by some of the very people who've condemned this society?
I reject the notion that America is in a well-deserved decline, that she and her citizens are unexceptional. I do not believe America is the problem in the world. I believe America is the solution to the world's problems. I reject a foreign policy that treats our allies like our enemies and our enemies like our allies. I condemn the president traveling the world apologizing for America's great contributions to mankind. And I condemn his soft-peddling the dangers we face from terrorism. For this I am inciting violence?
You not read this in its entirety and you truly are missing out on one of the most eloquent defenses of common sense conservative values I've seen in a long time.

Rush In the begining God created the heaven and the earth. I believe he is still in the creation bussiness. What do you believe? I also believe He shapes the charactor of those who are going to be saved. Here's what I believe about salvation; John3:5 followed by Acts 2:38 barrafied by Mark 16:16-17. Supported in the Old Testament by Isaiah 28:11-12 and in the New Testament by Matthew 11:28. Jesus is One God who is also man. Forgett about the deseatfull Roman trinity philosiphy! Dueteronomy 6:4. Rush is doing the exact same thing he is criticizing those on the left for doing. He is acusing the left of hating the government. How can the left hate the government and want to expand government at the same time? How can Rush repeatedly do everything he can to reduce the role of government and state that he doesn't hate government?

Because the leftist brand of governing like the one we see before our priveledged eyes this very day is a mock preview of what the statist dreams to use America for... Self, self, self...ish.

Tina,
Read again. His point is that the left loves being in power, and hates anyone else having power.
For your other point, I love scotch. I love cigars. But I know that too much of either is a bad thing.

SCSIwuzzy,
You brought up a good point in regard to moderation. You can love a limited government but hate it when it grows to big.
Don't all politicians love being in power and hate not being power?

Tina, its the politicians that think they know best for you that love power so much. They will destroy a country founded on freedom and independence from government by creating a dependency on their version of governance rather that what the founding fathers envisioned.
Personally, I think we're all screwed and that even the elections in '10 & 12 will not be enough to undo the economic train wreck that the (P)resident and Congress have visited upon us.

I am what the left calls a
"seditious ditto head."
I am proud of that and I am proud of my country, always have been.
If standing up to those who wish to take away our freedom and transform America into a communist utopia means I wear labels like those, I am not ashamed, I am proud to do so.

The left in government is very much like the Wizard of Oz. Remember when the little dog Toto pulled back the curtain, exposing the old guy who was behind all the lights, smoke, and mirrors?
Dorothy reprimanded him, "You're a very bad man!"
But the Wiz defended himself, saying, "Oh, no, my dear - I'm a very good man. I'm just a very bad Wizard."
In a nutshell, that's the problem with leftists in government. They may be very good people with the very best of intentions, but they are very bad Wizards.
Our Founders understood this very well, which is why they created a system of limited federal authority with multiple checks and balances.
