Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday Israel was "doomed" and singled out US President Barack Obama for scorn after the UN agreed a fresh round of nuclear sanctions against his country.

"It is clear the United States is not against nuclear bombs because they have a Zionist regime with nuclear bombs in the region," he said.
"They are trying to save the Zionist regime, but the Zionist regime will not survive. It is doomed."
Ahamdinejad's spokesperson, Helen Thomas, could not be reached for comment.

And why do Israels nuke bother him so, unless he intends or desires to do something radical to Israel and those bombs are a real deterrant -proverbial virgins waiting or not.

Projection is interesting. It's taken for granted that Israel is hell-bent on conquering the ME, so the obvious thing to do is make sure Israel's destroyed before there's a chance for THEM to nuke anyone else.
Of course, the concept that Israel would rather not do such a thing doesn't figure. It's what THEY would do - so naturally it's what Israel would do.
And Iran's working hard to 'put out' Israel - but instead is going to spark a conflagration by pouring a bucket of gasoline on a smouldering fire.
