There was no October surprise. There is little time left for an effective ad or for a gaffe to swing an election in one way or the other. Many in the country have already voted. Tomorrow the bulk of those "likely to vote" will do so.
Given that it all comes down turnout tomorrow, there is little left to say today. But I did notice this finding over at the Corner and it made me smile.
Nancy Pelosi's numbers among independents according to the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll are almost unbelievably bad-8% favorable, 61% unfavorable. Then I couldn't help myself. I sat and thought about how horrific those numbers were indeed and I smiled all over again.
Go vote tomorrow. Don't get cocky. Don't assume elections are already decided. Go help decide them yourself. But as you walk into you polling station just think about 8% vs 61% and smile.

That is and always will be Pelosi's political epithet.

Don't get cocky.
Not to worry here in NY. I'll be going to the polls and throwing my votes away and come Wednesday I will still not be represented by anyone that shares my values or ideals in any way above the local level, nor will I nor anyone in all of upstate NY be represented by anyone not from NYC at the statewide level.
Maybe my comptroller candidate will win or something, though. Most depressingly, in a crowded field for governor, I think there are 7 names on the ballot (including 3 of whom appear openly to be communists and an ex-hooker), I will be seeing how well our new voting machines handle undervotes, because I'll be NV'ing the governor line thanks to the amazing incompetence of the state GOP who couldn't even roll out anyone as 'good' as say a Pataki.

Forgive me for being a sourpuss.
There is always a chance that "Al Quada bombs" blow up at or near polling places.
There are the military members especially in chicago who are disenfranchised because the democratic voting officials were too busy taking care of felons rather than the military.

Here in Il we have to wait till the Chicago DEMS are done voting, twice for themselves, and once for the dead, to find out who will be Gov.
I hope we can TAKE Obamas OLD Senate seat.
I can't wait till Dicky Durbin is up for election, that guy is very bad for the State and Country also.

Ask not for whom the bus rolls over, Galoob - it rolls over thee. Useful idiots typically have a short lifespan - either they realize they're being taken for the saps they are and wise up, or they're dumped by the 'progressive' movement when they're not zealous and dedicated enough to make it into the heirarchy of the anointed.
The clock's ticking, Galoob. When your utility is over - the bus will be over you.
